At a car show today I got talking to the owner of this Vauxhall HS Chevette who happened to be a retired engineer and has done a hydrogen conversion on this car, it still runs on petrol but his conversion which included a glass container of electrified water does the rest as demonstrated when he turned on the ignition! He did seem rather like the Doc from ‘Back to the future’ I love eccentricity!

Have spent the last 2 days helping my father build a new part on a shed that will house the newly purchased tractor driven fire wood machine.

I have also spotted a Beaver

From what I can see it's another mass panic engineered by the media, particularly the BBC who reported three days ago about a couple of BP stations having to close due to lack of drivers and it's been pushing its way up the billing since.

Still at least all the queues of vehicles with their engines running will build up the CO2 that we had a shortage of. Or is that the wrong type of CO2?
As long as there isn't a shortage of tonic water it'll be fine.

I don't know why ministers haven't realised that every one of their "don't panic-buy" announcements actually leads to panic-buying.

I love that pick up. I remember they did a canvas tilt for the back of them, but not many people bought it.

Wrath of Khan writes to say the CX is no longer welcome inside the A406/A205 ring from end of next month.
No matter, I'll drive round the ring and my leaded petrol emissions will hopefully be carried in.

There's a very fine line between improving an old car, and turning it into some sort of grotesque caricature of itself (see countless tuning* projects). Not many manage to strike the right* balance*.

I think everyone is too hard on the MGB. In 1961 it was a good car. It should have been replaced in 1970. If it was Italian and there were only 7 left in the UK we would all be raving over it.

Having driven an E-Type and an MGB roadster i can confirm that i was happier in the B.  Both of these cars were clients vehicles and i think the overhanging "value/worth" of the E-Type possibly spoilt the experience for me somewhat.
What was overwhelmingly obvious from the both was how very of their time their performance was. I feel similar pain now in my 69 Mini MK2 850, this thing terrifies me joining dual carriageways as it's just so slow compared to everything else on the road these days. Not too bad once you've got it up to speed but then i'm very much aware that any accident at 50mph+ is dental records territory.

Surely this is like complaining that an achingly pretty girl has ankles that are slightly too skinny?

I do wish that classics would come back down to relatively sensible levels - say mid-2000s prices.

No, but they did previously hold the record for the longest period spent without a government in place, something like 548 days. The country continued to function without any notable disasters, which sort of suggested that Belgium works despite, rather than because of, its government.

I've  fought for payrises for my staff who then subsequently left. If the overall package is still not competitive it's disappointing if they leave but you did your best for them and would probably do the same in their position.
You wouldn't be a cunt and I reckon there's a good chance your manager would understand.

Oh, I have zero loyalty to the company.   However I'm rather fond of my team and my immediate managers, and if I bugger off they'll be even more in the shit than they already are.
