How the everloving shite did you afford insurance in your first year of driving on a P38? I used to look when I was 17 at stuff like this for fun and it was unbelievably expensive. Hell, I'd probably be paying a minimum of 2 grand for it now.

This was a well known POS car on Autoshite for a few years, owned by at least 4 shiters and it slowly made its way north, being run on a diet of veg for most of the time. Eventually it starred* in an AS calendar shot (alongside a nice example) but by the time the calendar came out the car was in Glasgow and the injection pump seals had gone and most of the dash was hanging out with the ignition lock homed on the parcel shelf. It was heading for the bridge but as it had a sound shell, the idiot that I am collected it from 120 miles away by trailer and my friend and serious 205 molester said he would fix it when he was not busy. That took 2 years......

Despite the best efforts of the dead battery, heater shennanigans, snow and storm arsehole or whatever it was called, the AS POS (or ASPOS for short) has returned to chez Saabnut. Had to be trailered as I can only drive one at a time, but safely home, unloaded and stored in the shed. Will tax it on Tuesday so the final return to the road will be delayed until then.

Finally managed to get to this event after saying I would for years. The lineup of cars was honestly just incredible and I'm already excited for next year. Got to see lots of cars for the first time like the 25 GTi and the Seat Panda, and it was so nice to see stuff like a Safrane and Stellar parked next to each other.
My 214 made it without any issues at all and returned 45MPG over the whole trip. Was worried it was gonna start overheating in that queue, like any reasonable K series Rover owner, but thankfully it behaved.

So much so, that I've gone and dragged this bag of shite out of the ditch that it was sat in for the best part of a year. Really excited to get to more events, at long last.
