I went there to take pics for @motorpunk's book on old service stations a couple of years ago, was a bloke working in the back of it in a woodworking workshop.

It's pretty passable to be honest, I think another coat will do it, will flat it back before putting another coat on. Following this guys method 4:1 ratio, used about 800ml of paint so far.

On the subject of painting the 404, we've just finished rollering a first coat onto our camper, if you are looking for a functional rather than concours finish would recommend (using rustoleum thinned down with white spirit.. (Colour choice optional)
