  6. Indeed, and it's 7 pin socket anyway which should be a visual check only but couldn't be bothered to argue.
  7. Cannock Auctions is Dead, the Truckers is very much alive as are most of us, shall we get a gathering of the Midlands Massiv organised?
  8. One out! Farewell SLK, now to focus on getting the van finished!
  9. I looked at a B plate one of these for my 2nd car in 1992, ended up buying an Astra 1.3l, one of my sisters had a J plate 1.2 flair she had off one of my friends for £500, she drove it for a couple of years, at one point the cambelt snapped and it was towed to Mum's I went up with a new belt, timed it up, slid a new belt on and it ran good as new, took about 15 minutes, other sister had a 1.2 saloon which was a big of a banger, whole floor was rotten, seat rocked when you sat in it.. Still great looking cars, love the baseness of brownnovas
  10. MOT achieved! And glow plugs replaced. Needed some welding and brake pipes but not too bad for a transit! Now to crack on and finish the camper conversion and get some nights out booked!
  11. Is the GSA back on the road? Good to see the fleet getting some love.
  12. Went to visit the inlaws last night which required a quick jaunt down the M6/M5 getting on there was a Mk7 Civic in front of us, went all the way down the slip road at 30mph on a free flowing motorway then braked joining the main carriageway, M6/M5 junction, travelling along at 60 in lane 1, car in front swerves out sharply to L2 and I find a Passat estate in front of me with its hazards on and I think occupants must still have been in the car. managed to get into lane 2 but was close, got SmollFL to ring 999 and get a closure put on the lane amd get someone out to them. On the way back at one point lanes 1 & 2 closed, to be fair signage wasn't great and traffic still running at 70 but got to the end of the tapered cones at the closure point and there is a golf stopped in lane 2 with its nose almost touching a cone' having been completely oblivious to the fact the lane they were in was closing, he was now trying to pull into a line of cars and trucks in lane 3 from a standing start.. How none of these idiots has not killed someone / been killed is a miracle...
  13. At least they didn't put it through the upvc frame....
  14. Perfect, send an email to HR notifying them you've handed the car back, notify of its location and put the key in the post. 🤣🤣🤣
  15. This is what you would call a "survivor car" one of the first batch of HQ registered Laguna II's made it to over 22 years old, I had one of the same batch at 2-3 years old and I don't think it made it to 6 yrs old due to the absolutely appaling build quality
  16. My step Mum has a Hyundai I10 auto which she loves, nor cheap tho..
  17. He's got a chest harness for a Gopro I think. He's got quite a few interesting old transits he's working on as well.
  18. Sorry to hear you've been struggling, good to hear you are on the mend.
  19. It was the same 306, P514OLN I ran it on bio on and off, but I bought a bad tankful from someone at Buxton's on the A34 which seems to had animal fats in it that left a coating on the inside of the tank and blocked the filters. Sorted it all out (which took ages) next drive out someone drove into the back of it and wrote it off.. the scrapman clocked it from 285k to 70k and sold it on and it lived for another couple of years so bio defo didn't do it any harm..
  20. Don't know where to start....
  21. In early 2000's a Friend of mine used to work in a building which was shared by am energy efficiency / renewables charity and they had a biodiesel tank bought in I think from Rix. He ran his 306 on bio for at least 50k miles on this bio and it ran really well and as the oil was sourced from Pataks it always had a rather pleasing aroma to the exhaust. Great write up @talbot really informative
  22. To answer a question nobody asked... It's a Goupil (spotted in Maanchester)
