This sort of thing puts me off buying a new motor tbh. Have discussed it with the Mrs a couple of times but I think I'd be constantly worried having something nice sitting outside the house. Has happened to a couple of folk we know, don't think I could be arsed with the hassle of it.

Driving early to mid 00's shite is the way to go these days for me. Reliable enough to be used as daily transport, need a key to start the car, and they aren't old or interesting enough yet for scrotes to want to nick. Basically all hail Saab 2003-2011

Does it still do the wee "do do doooooooo..... do do" noise when you hit reverse ? used to do my nut in parking at work in it, you had to do a 3 point turn to get into the car park, then another one turning the corner inside as it was so tight, then finally reversing into my space. 3 times I'd hear that thing in 30 seconds 🤣 One time it actually started beeping as if it was working, and I nearly shat myself with excitement. Then it never done it again 😭

Gave the Saab a pro valet today with some old cloths and a bottle of polish from 1987. I felt a bit sorry for it as it hasn't been used much since buying the Civic. Cleaned up well, then it pished down. Great success. Certainly hasn't been floppytop weather up here recently
