The A421 road is closed for water mains repair between Great Horwood roundabout and the turn for Singleborough. The various side roads have been a zoo with people trying to take short cuts, so they are being closed and/or signposted as closed to traffic apart for local access.

My 'R plate XM sinks and as far as I know, it's not broken. Like the DS, it rises up 'comme une vache'... rear first, then front a few moments later...

Jowett Javelins are lovely things. @Six-cylinder has always wanted one. He has come close to getting one a few times, but so far it hasn't happened. My grandparents used to have a grocer's shop and bought a Jowett Bradford van, the less handsome (but still pleasant) commercial sibling to the Javelin, for deliveries. My Dad took his driving test in it and was asked lots of questions about loading weights and other matters of commercial use, about which he hadn't a clue! He still passed though. Your Javelin looks great and what a nice history it has, too. Well done! 🙂
