I had an A4 saloon of that age and colour. It's one of the few cars I did not modify at all. The colour drew enough attention to it!

It's the same colour as the one I had back in the day. Better than mine was though, mine was 6 years old and had various rusty bits, and at Y reg was the face-lift which did not look quite as nice. I would love a pre face-lift v8 manual.

It's good when a small home trader cares about his customers and treats them properly. I bought my caddy from a home trader like that recently. It was about 3 grand less than some others I have seen for sale since, it was 6 weeks away from a mot so he put it in. It failed on one rear caliper, and one ballpoint in the front suspension. He put on the new caliper and two new wishbones. Many would have slackened off the caliper and just the one wishbone, saving themselves a few quid, and the rear caliper would be siezing up again and I would have had to change it. Good luck to the op, I have dallied with selling cars, but only as a hobby, I couldn't be arsed trying to make a living out of it.

The weldathon is finished. 3 and 1/2 days welding by a guy who worked as a fabricator in a body shop for 25 years. Cost £240. Mates rates lol. Had I been paying labour rates at a garage I would say it would have been over a grand. Its getting a covering of red lead primer over all the new steel and welds then it will be left until my hand is in working order until further work will be done. The car was lost for long enough, another month or more wont make any difference!

Its wild in Macduff. My mate in Gardenstown has a wind speed monitor at his house and it's been blowing at 105mph. Most roads closed by fallen trees, the fast food shop I deliver for were not delivering, so I've had the night off sitting in the house listening to the wind howling around the house. Not looking out, or venturing out until the morning.

    Citroen c1 16 reg
I think that's them all in order of owning them. The only ones that did not give 100% reliability was the 57 reg peugeot 407, and cant even really count that as it was mis fuelled, nut ran for 50 miles before it conked out, and the c2 sensodrive which was the worst piece of shit I ever had and continually broke down. No electrical issues with any apart from the berlingo which permanently had the charge light on, but it charged fine. Both xantia needed a small patch on the left side door shut. No rust on any apart from that. I think I haven't had a French car for about a year and a half now, as they do not currently have a modern which appeals to me, and due to health issues I am not able to maintain older cars. I loved french stuff before I defected to vag stuff.

If it pleases the court, may these two be stricken from the record as Toyota showed PSA how to make a reliable car. I think Toyota only let PSA design the brake calipers?

I think proper motor homes like that will remain in demand. The so called day vans, the knackered old builders vans with a bit of carpet lining and home made interiors made of old tattie boxes will get cheap again.

I loved my xantia td, which Zel used to own a few years ago. It unfortunately ended its life with me, but had covered nearly 260000 miles. I ran it for over a year and over 25k mostly on new veg oil, with only tyres and oil changes needed, along with one welded patch needed on the left rear door shut. Apart from that there was very little rust on it, although it had major lacquer peel. It was needing a clutch, heater matrix, and the fuel pump was leaking, and had developed a suspension leak, which is why I wasmt going to fix it. I sold it to a guy who told me he was going to transplant the drivetrain into a pig 205, so I was expecting some of it to live on. However he promptly sold it on to another guy who put it into a park race, where it died by severe contact then went to the scrappy. I was not really amused when I got sent a video of it dying. Oh well it was in banger territory when I bought it to be honest, and it did provide over a year of cheap, comfortable motoring. I must not be a typical xantia owner, as before the 1.9td I had an activa 2.0 turbo. If I am completely honest I preferred the 1.9td to the activa. It was more comfortable, much cheaper to run, and not that much slower at covering miles in the real world.

I gave up my psv licence 3 years ago on my 55th birthday. I wouldnt have passed the medical due to the prescription drugs I am on. I miss driving coaches, but not the school runs. In fact I refused to do school runs, there was enough other contract work to avoid them. One of my mates ended up in a bad place because a 15 year old girl that he had told to sit down and behave went to the school and said he had grabbed her arse. He was sacked, threatened with court, he now has a black mark on his record, cant pass a pvg disclosure so cant work with kids or vulnerable people. This lead to him having a breakdown and he hasn't worked since. The girl was a known trouble maker but the mud stuck. Theres nothing worse to work with than teenage schoolkids.

You know me! I like putting usually bigger wheels on. I'm disappointed I did not take the genuine leon fr alloys off the leon when I sold it. I was going to change them a couple months ago, but the clown who drives it most of the time has kerbed every one badly. The kerbs outside the shop are solid granite and very sharp edges. He rips the side of a tyre every other week! It would be better for them with its standard wheels on rather than the 18" low profiles. But I wouldnt be able to sell them now they are so damaged. I've advertised the standard 16's locally for the tyres but no takers.

I have sold my hilux, and replaced it with a vw caddy maxi van. It is 2014 and has covered 115000 miles and has a full vw service history and new mot. It's due a service and timing belt just now. The vw dealer which has serviced it since it was 2 years old is going to send me a print out of its history, but quoted me a ridiculous amount for a service and timing belt change. It will get done, but not at vw prices! This van cost me £500 less than what I got for the hilux and its super clean for a van. The plan is to turn it into a mini camper. The wheels on it are the standard wheels off my yeti.
