That's just under a year I have owned the Yeti. Passed mot today with no advisories. Done 6000 miles in the year. The only expenditure is diesel. Not one drop of oil, coolant, no tyres or brakes. Underneath looks as good condition as above. The only very slight fault is the powder coating is very slightly peeling off the rear anti roll bar. And it's very slight! The car was serviced along with its mot last year and the service interval is 20000 or 2 years , it will get serviced in the summer every year regardless of milage. That should be less than 10000 since the last one. Looking at the mot history it had advisories for two front tyres worn at 3 years old, and one fail for a broken spring at 5 years old and that's it. It has kind of justified me buying it from a dealer, first car I've done that for a few years now. And looking at Arnold Clark's website theres one the same age, model and mileage at over 12 grand. Which is 3&1/2 grand more than I paid from a skoda dealer last year. It's an impressive car. The only complaint against it is that the seats are a little to firm for me. The caddys seats are more comfortable despite being much lower spec.

New tyre fitted today, no charge as a goodwill gesture. They will try a claim to Apollo but think it will likely fail. I dont think I will buy Apollo again.

One of the Apollo tyres I bought 6 weeks ago has developed a big bulge in a side wall. It's only done about 600 miles. The tyre garage has ordered another for me, but said that apollo will say I have hit something to cause it. I know that I have driven every mile in the van since I've owned it and have not hit anything with it. So I am expecting to have to pay full price for the replacement. If I do, I will never buy apollo tyres again, and will also find new tyre fitters after 15 years of using this one.

I've just read through this entire thread. Having a caddy maxi that is going to get used for camping I am very interested. I'm only going as far as insulating and lining the van, and a leisure battery. I'm not going for built in bed, or units. It will be just for me so a camp bed will do in it when required, and I dont cook at home, so the need for cooking facilities is none. I am considering a heater of some sort though.

When I put the lights on in the yeti, and every other car I had with xenons, you see fron the drivers seat the lights going through their up, down, right, left dance. The beam cuff off is very sharp. The inner lights will be halogen spotlights that come on with full beam. Everyone who is a passenger in the yeti remarks on how good the lights are. The leon previous to it was the same. Be prepared for big money exchanging hands if one goes out though. To fix the blown on my Leon would have cost near 2 grand fron Seat, for a new light and new ballast unit. Moisture had got in and corroded the terminals of the light which blew the ballast unit. I eventually got a light complete with ballast for £250 off of a breaker.

I have a pair of unused lowering springs for a 205 if you want them. Been stored in a damp shed so probably surface rust now. They are yours for the price of p&p
