The toast was hot enough to melt the lurpak so all was good. Now changing train in Dundee. Came off one train Aberdeen to Edinburgh to go on the next Aberdeen to Edinburgh. Booked through the trainline app, I could have left Aberdeen 1/2 hr later, which means I could have got the bus 1 hour later. Not a fan of this public transport. Have another 2 changes after this one

Ps as a former deepsea fisherman had I made tea theres every chance I would use 2 teabags in the cup. Tea was not worth getting unless you had to use a knife and fork to consume it

Breakfast, first mode of transport, and on a stagecoach decker heading to Aberdeen. They put brand new decker on this rout to provide extra capacity. Theres 3 people downstairs and one is driving!

That tea is a Nescafe cappuccino made with boiled milk.. now awaiting next transport leaving here at 11.02. That's the worst bit of the journey over, Maccuff to Aberdeen on a new uncomfortable noisy bumpy Alexander Dennis decker. That's a town bus, not a country bus, that takes 2 hours for my journey, over 4 hours journey end to end. I used to drive this exact route 12 years ago when we had Volvo jonckheere coaches. They were super comfy. No luggage space now and no toilet. However poo count is now 1, having gone at the bus station toilet. No photo available, my poo or my butt is not for public viewing!

I was last there 2 years ago, doing a collection which would have made a good thread on here. A lift to Inverness airport, easyjet from there to Luton, picked up in a citroen XM by a member here, driven to the rally where I collected Gabby, a xantia 1,9td which was previously owned on this forum. Then a 550 mile drive home, on 3/4 a tank of derv. She served me well for a year running various ratios of veg/derv mix. I still own said xantia, however she is in a coma, not quite dead but only a slight chance of recovery.

For sheer driving comfort, the last car I sold two months ago, the 407 2.7hdi coupe. It was some car.

In my humble opinion the Ford blue looks the best. I would stick with it. Get a decent finish on the invacar and then do the activa. Your bound to improve the lacquer peel on it!

That would look great with a set of genuine 14" GTI speed lines on it. I just happen to know of a set of 5 immaculate wheels with cracking tyres on them which could be purchased for a reasonable amount of folding stuff. Have a pic of them on my 205.

What I want to know is how does Premier Inn's guaranteed good night's sleep work, I haven't had a good night's sleep since about 1983, so can they compensate me for this in some way?
I'll even stay in a Premier Inn if I have to.

Between the Peugeot, citroen and fiat models of these, and the 806, synergy and ulysse versions of these I have owned 4 personally and driven many more as taxis. The highest mileage one was 550000 when I left the taxi firm which owned it. It was still on its original engine and gearbox, it was a 1999 806 2.0hdi. I thought they were a great drive too. Better than my current 06 plate caddy 1.9td? I would say yes, and more reliable too.
