  1. Walked into Tesco and engine oil was on offer , that's the next oil change sorted . However the petrol at our "remote" Tesco is some 7p more a litre than the remote petrol station by our static in the lakes ???? , Thankfully I brimmed it before heading home and it's still full ..
  2. It rained a lot last night and .... This happened .. Turns out the aerial base leaked Filled up the curiosity light and then dropped down into the rubbish holder .. No sealing gasket on the aerial base, just a plastic base that flexed ,now filled with goo and tightened down ..
  3. Fiat 126 , small fun car , good for short journeys , easy to fix , leaks like a sieve in the rain .. Fiat 127 , ok car , the 1050 engine 5 speed was good , did some serious miles , easy to fix Strada Mk4 1.3 5 speed ,was fun , good tyres and gas shocks , could handbrake turn on a sixpence , rear suspension needed new upper bushes for some reason , fun car Tipo 1.4 .. pile of shite , last Fiat I would own , expensive to fix every month , shite performance , I was always under the bastard Volvo 240 estate , built like a outhouse , survived a few bumps , did mega miles and trips , rust got it just short of 250K , heavy to work on Micra Mk11 , great car , a bit slow . still fun Vauxhall Zafira Mk1 , great car with the 2.3 oil burner , a real family work horse , shame about the subframe rot and build quality Vauxhall Meriva , rust , steering issues , rattled like fuck , last Vauxhall I would own , I cried with relief as it went on the scrappers lorry Ford Focus Mk1 1,6 , great car , shame they are not made any more C1 , good little worker , needs a bit more space in the rear and boot , the C2 is prob what it should of been , compared to the superminis of the past its in its own league

  6. any one trying to get to Southport / Formby area .. dont bother , major road works in the middle of Formby .... and wait for it ... despite weeks of little rain grass cutting on the by pass , so its down to one lane .. q starts at switch island , I got home via the scenic route .. and the trains have problems as well ..
  7. I like the face to face when sorting things out .... I suppose I will adapt ..
  8. Local bank is shutting its doors .. But that's okay by them as I could bank up in Southport or go down to Norris green ....like 10 miles each way ! So as a long time customer I will Fuck that off , move banks and take my Dosh else where .. I suspected it could happen and so no investments or deals where done with them ...

  12. Ambled home today in the mobile handbag , had a urban bus in front of me that stopped at a stop on a narrow bend , so I stopped and waited behind him because it's the type of road where a car comes the other way just as you overtake and I am not on a rush .. Uber taxi stops behind me , waits 5 seconds and decides I am a jerk for waiting and goes for it ..... And a car comes the other way . He is then stuck beside me , I just give him a broad side of " u are a knob " looks and stay put ... He then struggles to get back behind me whilst a q of cars builds up with the lead driver giving him dirty looks .. then the bus moves on .. Do taxi drivers take driving tests ?
  13. this grinds me , if a group of cars started having a get to together of any type , plod would be there in no time to give points out , but a gaggle of lycra warriors can do no wrong ! , they can have group meetings on the move , speed trials , circuits and what not on a open road and curse any driver that gets in the way . must get my 3 speed shopper out for a run around town and upset a few drivers !!
  14. numpies on the motorway ... was ambling along the M58 and went to pass this red shittyron and it stayed there matching my speed ??? so I stayed put and the speed crept up , still he stayed there .... I was in no rush , I could of stayed there all the way to end of the empty motorway ,, so to test a hunch , I pulled into the inside lane ... and he braked !!! so whipped back into the middle lane and went past him like he was stood still .. some right ankers about ..
  15. Apparently my snow axe is now vintage on some eBay adverts .. 😆😆😆 Its a old Camp Jolly job .. How vintage am I then ?

  17. its been like that for 30 years or more , it used to be a corrugated plastic pipe which leaked at the joints , then one day this washing machine expired ....
  18. F in , crap ,c#@t of a sh#&e job happened .. That s&£#ting little screw in the middle of the plughole let go .. Just as I tipped a bowl of water away .... Then heard everything under the sink get a bath of dirty water ..... Anyway that's under the sink cleaned and sorted ! Time will tell if the time hardened rubber seal is still up to the job ..
  19. The doggy insurance comp tried pushing the premium up for the C1 up , but I had been on a comparison site first for the same provider and got a quote which was a lot lower , they went with that when it was pointed out !!!!
  20. Ice Cold in Alex was filmed in Southport sand dunes to allow Anthony Quayle to revisit his birth town . It was envisaged the desert scenes would not see any sea at Southport , but problems arose when the filming trucks kept getting stuck in the sand . Anthony Quayle remembered a trick from his teenage years where by doggers , who's cars got stuck in Ainsdale sand dunes would hand crank the cars out of trouble after paying for this advice , and a further payment to keep quiet about it happening . This trick was included in the film for which Anthony Quayle was awarded a CBE for his services . However hand cranking Katy turned out to be a lot harder than hand cranking a car and it led to a lot of verbal .. He also arranged the supply of Carlsberg beer glasses from his local for the final drink scene , with the "public house" located in the oriental grounds of the fun fare .
  21. Thanks to a cyclist who drove off a pavement in front of me , I can confirm the ABS works on the C1 .... Now to test the washing machine ..
  22. tinternet has been upgraded , we now have FTTC .... Fibre To The Caravan .....
  23. uPVC twats , just looking at the 3 doors on the static , all the hinges were corroded under the covers ,white alloy dust everywhere , not only that the reason for the bottom kitchen door hinge being wound right out , is because the door frame is 5mm wider at the bottom , which means the 3 hinges are not in line ..meanwhile a friend next door her door frame has bowed outwards in the lock area making the latch useless ! Top Bottom
