Reminds me of the Ka, Ka2 and Ka3 which I insisted on calling Ka squared and Ka cubed.
Ironically they are now all cubed.

    Which was exactly right.
    205 trims were X for a 3 door, G for a 5 door, E,L,R for the main 3 trim levels and an extra A for a van and a D for a diesel.
Except for the GTi, SR (posh spec) and sometimes a T for Turbo on a diesel.

Do any manufacturers still use L GL type trim levels or are they all studio, pizzaz, water, fire and trapezium?

Hello everyone, Nev_junior here i want to thank you all for the kind words about @Nevand various stories and encounters you've had with him over the years. It's an awful time however there is a silver lining... @outlaw118and I are hunting some proper shite for you all to enjoy for when he returns to blighty. So far we have found a Renault 5 Gt turbo thats been abandoned and a tremendously fucked seat ibiza. stay tuned...

    Mk3 golf 2.0 GTi:
No pros, just complete rubbish, don't ever be tempted you'll be so disappointed, especially if you've had any of the other models, even the MK4 which wasn't fantastic.
Slow, like badly slow, they were something dismal like 115bhp out of the factory.
Handled, well ok maybe the only thing it did averagely.
    Under 30mpg.
    Rust like fuck.
    Plastics horrible.
    Interior uncomfortable.
    Pretty fugly in truth.
Almost every manufacturer at the time made a better hot hatch.
Swapped my beautiful Audi 2.3e coupe for one and hated every second of it, couldn't believe my luck when the guy swapped it back.
Podium finish of worst cars I've ever owned.

Timewaster reacted to brownnova in Autoshite Outages
As you're all well aware we are experiencing regular outages on the site currently.
This stems from the initial outage we had last month, where the site became disconnected from the server due to a networking fault.  Since then despite taking a number of steps to rectify this on our side we still get the site disconnected from the network once a day.
Unfortunately we are not receiving the support we need from the external hosting company to rectify this, as the fault appears to lie on their side.  Essentially whilst we (well by we I mean Slartibartfast) can apply the jump leads each time to get us back up and online, they (the hosting company) are failing to fix the underlying fault or provide us with the tools/support to do so.
As an admin team we are trying to work out our options for the long term stability of the site. This is not totally straightforward given our varying working hours etc. but Slarti does jump straight to it every time we go down.  This morning we were made aware at 9.59 we were back online by 10.21.
    What can I do?
As people have been - if you spot it's down and you have a means of contacting any of the admin team via external methods let us know.  One of us can contact Slarti and he has been getting it back online in a few minutes. That way we hope disruption will be kept to a minimum.
I know a few people have offered practical help and experience, this is greatly appreciated.  I'll be asking how we can best use this.
I'm going to lock this thread simply so it is only used for latest updates, and these aren't lost in a deluge of posts and therefore any member can see it easily.

Finally, thank you all for your patience - this is a very frustrating spell for AS and I know it is extremely annoying!

I saw a car for sale in Poole. A wolesley 16/60. I agreed a price with the seller and made my way to go and have a look. I live in Plymouth but I got to Bridport and then something came over me and I messaged the seller explaining that I wouldnt be coming to look at the car as I really couldnt justify it while I have other things going on.  The seller seemed ok with it but I have been feeling guilty as I dont like being a time waster but things are changing in my life and that £3000  could be used for rent for 3 months. I wont go into m changes as it has alot to do with my mental health etc. I just felt awful for the seller.

I was once late to collect a motorcycle I'd agreed to buy. I had a good reason, the gearshift cable on my van had broken as i set off. So i had to call a mate for a lift and associated delays. I called the bike seller to inform him. In the end i was about 45 mins late. For some reason i felt awful and that I had become a 'time waster' or not able to get there on time of promising at least.
Turns out no one minded, id called, id been honest. It was all i could do. And you did that here, you changed your mind and you let them know. No worries i say

I'm really sorry for the prolonged outage. The server got borked in several interesting ways for unknown reasons.

The site will be doing ol' Whores-Drawers dance for a bit while I fix stuff properly so apologies for that.
