    Dear PSA,

Why the ever living fudgecakes did you decide to put seam sealer for your wheelarch/inner wing seam in the engine bay, but not on the wheelarch itself?
    Yours curiously,

at work we used to have some dick ed throw dogs shite bags onto the car park from the road  , then the cars would run over it and spread it every where ..
then people would tread in it and spread it around the school ...
when I got in at 7am in a morning , a few minutes found it all thrown back over the fence ...
    it soon stopped ...
it also came with the open gates , people would find it alright to nip in and let the dog drop its load and then walk off ,before the staff could get to them
its only a training area for blind people !!!

Adopt an absolute arsehole of a cat from the local RSPCA or Cats Protection League or whatever, then knock on her door and hand it to her.
She'll have her own cat and yours will be too scared to go in there!

Basil passed away last night at 22:40. Apparently he had another stroke on the right side of his brain before I found him on the floor. He had already had a stroke on the left side many years ago so by the  time he was found, he was basically running on auto with little or no cognitive function.
Two days ago, the hospital moved him from ICU  after determining what had happened and removed assistance to his breathing. At that point he was only alive by the basic functionality of his brain stem; by last night it called enough and shut down for one final time.
Needless to say, it’s hitting us hard. Not only because he was a part of our household and a sibling but it’s a harsh reminder of our own fragility as we all grow older and move onward towards that inevitable conclusion. There’s a lot of unpicking of his life to do now to try and sort out everything but we’ll get through this.

    Today's Shit happenings.
Back box broke on the Saab, £70. Not much of a problem as the stock car pipe is same dia, so it's all welded up. just need a clamp from ECP Monday.
As I get home next door neighbour grips me, "having any trouble with the drains?"
Our drains are notorious for blockages  insufficient drop on the pipes, and tenants who can't afford toilet roll.
Everyone knows I have rods. Lived there 50 odd years on and off.
I take the manhole cover off, full up. Get the rods. Hit something solid. "shit a brick maybe".
Normally just use the end of the rod, but put a plunger on.
Shit comes out of a water drain 20 foot down the footpath, there's a river of it. Mixed in with it is lumps of rag, sort of thing you would have in the garage. By now It's a river, 2ft wide and 3" deep!  Open the next manhole down and sweep it in.
Best take the plunger off then. Put one of those screw things on, twist it in and pull it back, More rag, more shit,
People are crossing the road to avoid the smell, and the river.
I clear it. My drain and the one lower work, The ones higher up, 4 back to back rented don't seem to work.
The lumps of rag are coming from  the ones higher up. I cant rod backwards it won't go in.
I clean up, bleach, water, rags, tell next door I'll have a go tomorrow maybe.
Took 3 hours, plus a shower and a bath.

    Oh fuck off life.
Just clicked onto Twitter to reply to a comment.  First thing on my feed - a friend over in the US has just had an almost definitely terminal cancer diagnosis.
    They're 32.
    They don't have health insurance.
That's four people I know in the last year who have had that news - two of whom have since passed away.  Plus three who have been taken out by COVID.
Have really had enough of this now.

Waiting for ‘that’ phone call from the hospital about brother in law.

He lives downstairs in the house after having a stroke a number of years ago. Early last week on a mission to the kitchen, I found him collapsed and barely  breathing  with foamy blood coming from his mouth. Rushed to hospital and in ICU on a ventilator ever since.
The dynamics of our family is, shall we say, strained - he used to call the police on us every time he never got his own way is amongst the many other ‘fun’ things but still, he is a member of the family and a close one at that.
The next few days/weeks are not going to be good.

Well fucking hell.  I had reason to go back to a house I no longer live at today, and I noticed that there was a Plod car parked opposite the whole time I was there.  I didn't think anything of it to begin with, but having noticed that they where changing over shifts to "stake out" the house, I was then told what was going on.
Turns out the very lovely elderly couple from across the road had had a bit* of an accident.  I'm told that yesterday morning there was a fairly massive explosion and fire in their home.  About a million Police/Fire/Ambulance vehicles descended, both of them were rescued and the fire was put out.  She has been bedbound for the last few years and He is her carer, despite being fairly fragile and unwell himself.  Don't know how badly She was injured, but He sustained some fairly significant injuries.  Both were whisked away.
What's odd is that they don't have Gas in their house (despite there being Gas in the street, their home is on Oil.)  However, she has had to have bottled oxygen for quite a while now, and the room that she was in (and only that room) now has blown out windows.  One can only assume that something to do with Her medical kit caused the issue.  Quite what may never be known, but given how elderly and frail they both were before the incident, I can't see either of them ever being able to come back "home" as they will likely both need full-time care.  Also their house isn't exactly habitable now.
Extremely bizarre, and utterly tragic for them both.

I'm hoping this is the correct area to post this.
I'm @spartacus partner and I've joined up unfortunately to announce some bad news.

It is with a very heavy heart I am writing this. Approx 6 weeks ago spartacus (Giles) became very unwell and was admitted to Chesterfield Royal with a ruptured spleen. This was eventually removed however with an underlying diagnosis of advanced cancer (Mantle Cell Lymphoma) his prognosis was not great. Giles has tried fighting this, been under various Specialists and various Wards. He has put up one hell of a fight. However even Giles knows you can only fight this for so long.
Sadly Giles passed away peacefully on Saturday 15th May 2021 at 11:30am he was surrounded by his family and friends. He will leave many a sad tear behind.
He spoke often of autoshite and spent many an evening browsing through this website. He really loved it.

Giles has asked me to auction (roffle?) off one of his vehicles... A Fiat Panda (obviously not the car in the photo), which he requested the money be donated to a good cause. I'll try and find the thread/area to do this and keep all updated.
