  1. First half of the boot sale saw me buy nothing - then all of a sudden I found loads, ended up buying a whole box from one seller and various others all at a few pence each. Going to take me a while to catalogue this lot Yep I bought the Matchbox carry case too Just got time to show you this before we go to the outlaw's for Easter dinner - I had one of these tumbling buggies when I was a kid, so couldn't resist a boxed one for £2.00 I'll find some C cells and test it later
  2. Lots of nice finds on here lately, I've been keeping off eBay as anything interesting seems to get bid way up now. Boot sales are go though, off to my local one tomorrow. I have that same glow in the dark Datsun with the doors cast shut and a similarly equipped Corvette Not found the Cortina yet, are there others?
  3. Didn't they make pedal go-carts?
  4. I think they hit the nail on the head with that one, quite tempted to drop mine nice and low, although I do get the reason for the stance. The Rolamatic feature is great to see again too, even if they don't call it that
  5. A bit more Saaab weldage, apparently this corner of the boot and inner wing always rots? It had a previous MoT standard patch which had trapped moisture and made things worse, so chop chop Did the inner wing bit first Then the boot floor to meet it
  6. I had the chrome one with hardtop Are Corgi Club up to a bit of artistic licence with the stripe and number? *Edit* No Found #3, #5 #7 and #12 too. I believe Corgi Club have copied a pretty early release, fair play
  7. Shall I put this in the ringing thread? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1021211001834493/
  8. I've been trying to find one of those, but not seen any in the UK before. Where did you find it?
  9. I haven't, partly because I have no idea how I would price such a thing, partly because I'm a terrible critic of my own work and mostly because I can't normally live with the idea of getting rid of them after the effort that goes in. I have given a couple to my friend as presents, mainly replicas of his own vehicles. I can go and look at them whenever I want!
  10. Way back in darkest Covid times (8/8/20) I bought this Dinky Beach Buggy with a view to doing something about the missing roll hoop and improving the paint scheme Well I think this is an improvement. Made a filler panel for the area behind the seats, this also forms the attachment for the rear of the base via a tube with a screw into it. Roll hoop made out of a bit of steel wire I had laying around, windscreen was cut from a larger one out of a lorry or some such, and paint is the stuff intended for painting your nan's old sideboard to make it look modern... Wheel rims got a polish and the engine and seats got a black wash to make them look more realistic. Pleased with this one.
  11. Well after yesterday's Mustang masking disaster, I needed something a bit light hearted. So I turned the somewhat playworn Zylmex Fox body... ...into an 80’s Street Machine
  12. I spent ages prepping and masking this up, never had the paint come off with the masking tape before 😐
  13. I'm not too fussed about that one, so happy to re-home it
  14. Much success! Or much fiddling with the switch and batteries until it stays on for a few seconds. I recall the last ones I found were a trio of Datsun Z cars, think someone bought at least one off me at the time
  15. Up fairly early to enjoy the smell of cheap burgers and Vicks Vap-o-rub at the boot sale. As ever, you can buy everything but the... ...oh OK. A suprising number of people selling toilets and parts of too. First, bigger sale didn't turn up much of interest, I saw a plastic Buddy L for too much the other week but found this one for 30p, not quite the same one as this has working lights I'll give that a clean up and test this afternoon. Bought these two for £1 each, shame about the cracked screen on the Merc but I do have donor cars. I can't see how it's happened either, almost looks like it happened at the factory Moving on to the 10am start sale, found a couple of sellers with lots of cars all at 50p or less. Don't often pick up moden Hot Wheels as I have so many but these either caught my eye or will be engine/wheel donors I have a handful of these Happy Meal ones with lights to get working again Blackwall color changer a few Matchbox, Corgi and Majorettes Bigger stuff, scored all these for 50p each. Especially Happy with the SD1
  16. Clip on mirror with compass and thermometer Big flaps Book
  17. Apparently belongs to some lawyer called Mark Stevens
  18. I've heard noises that Tesco won't be selling Hot Wheels and Matchbox - might mean we get a better choice of places to find the later
  19. 2018 and 2020 release Lambos still on the shelf in Sainsbury's
