Ah well, at least I've got one now, I never think of buying more tools as a waste, particularly considering how much I hate sanding.
Anyway...
I did actually change the drop link, my MOT place never bother to remove the advisories but whatever.

Our PCP'd Nissan Leaf has been picked up today, two years old and 10700 miles on the clock. I was a little sad to see it go but never felt like I owned it and the last few weeks have been a stress with it, especially having to pay 360 quid to get some damage fixed, why the grin thread then? well because I'm now 'saving' over 200 quid a month.

A friend of mine did the 'sell up and move to France' thing a few years back. He went to a car boot sale in the local town but it was all down the high street, not in an open space like here. At one stall, surrounded by junk, he noticed a nice antique decorative cast iron bollard, about 1m in height (well, he was in France..) He thought it would look good at the end of his drive. He gestured in his broken french that he'd like to buy it. After a few attempts at communication, the elderly couple fell about laughing, he thought that they were taking the piss at his attempt of their language. Until they pointed out to him that it was one of a row of bollards spaced at intervals all along the street.....

Beetle passed MOT today, had to take the duvet off of the car and drive it in the pouring rain though.
Gave the MOT tester a few clues on where buttons are!

Following the disappointment of the postponement of a MG local gathering yesterday I held a one man MG show at home for myself tonight!
A rare moment when all three of my MGs were legal, working and at home, so I had to capture the moment.

^^ That would make it by far the most expensive when new car I've had.
Something highly improbable occurred this morning. The Jaaaaaaaaa....aaaaag went for an MOT, and this happened.
So next up is two front tyres, basic service (anyone know the recommended grade of oil for this?) and the aircon will be looked at. The aircon is a job for a specialist I think. There seems to be an excess of Jag specialists near York. I'm within a few miles of two so I will get in touch. Since nothing else is actually broken as such, the rest can just be light fettling and improving. I heard the ignition timing can be advanced slightly by fitting a new crank position sensor bracket. That apparently makes the engine slightly more willing. Stuff like that interests me, nothing silly or major work.
