  1. Utterly ruined C6 for 1500 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1617242462075496/?ref=facebook_story_share "Need blow up the air." I agree, blow it up.
  2. Forgot about my Oldsmobile Auroras. And the Galant Liftback that unfortunately is no more.
  3. Good luck everybody 😂 All six in current ownership as well. The senator should be easy to beat at least.
  4. Accord Coupe with a missing bumper.
  5. I test drove a 35k miles example last year only to find out it probably had about 100k more, and drove accordingly. At least I had a nice day out.
  6. The Oldsmobile Delta 88 (in Royale trim) was the highlight of the day. Wish more cars of this era would still be around. The QX56 is one of the more obscure fullsize luxury SUV options yet tons of them can be seen everywhere in Tennessee. The Saturn SC2 is another car that has almost completely vanished despite having few flaws. Just one of those cars that nobody ever tried to maintain properly.
  7. Avalon - Surprisingly popular for an entirely forgettable sedan now replaced by the Crown crossover thingy. Infiniti QX4, the beginnings of Infiniti luxury SUVs, utterly obscure. Sevier County apparently still uses Crown Vics 10 years after production ended.
  8. Some shite and lesser known model in Sevierville.
  9. Holy crap, probably would have had I seen it earlier.
  10. Certified cockroach of the road and Saturn Vue, the latter I noticed to be surprisingly often to be found still.
  11. Because free cost of transport for us service men, yet not free to bring it back home afaik.
  12. This one was an Ultra so supercharged 3800! Great cars.
  13. 175k miles on the Grand Cherokee, still looking great for a car of this age around here. Also Celica notchback!
  14. 350 quid 405 estate! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/981094653269130/
  15. Unless the cats are gone or the drivetrain is dead this is a bargain.
  16. I should have bought one that was on eBay for 3500 euros years ago. I’d absolutely would nowadays. what about a Eunos 300/Mazda Persona? Another obscure jdm special I’d instantly buy, there’s at least one in the uk. And yes, an Isuzu Gemini made it over to the uk, even in super rare Irmscher spec.
  17. This is the second time I got tagged, I don’t want it 😂 Fascinating car though that lived in Tynemouth before, couldn’t believe when I saw 1 of 3 locally.
  18. Genuinely new to me, the Nissan Pintara Superhatch for the Australian market. Based on the U12 Bluebird.
  19. Omg there it is again! It was living in Tynemouth before where I took some close-up photos of it.
  20. Because most people don't have a clue about aesthetics, or what a font is.😂
  21. Great news! Contrary to the "rebuilt" unit, the 23 year old used alternator actually works! I spent 2 hours today trying to get the alternator back in the car, a crowbar and hammer were necessary so you can probably imagine how fun* that was with minimum accessibility. My heart sunk for a moment after starting the car and still seeing the dreaded battery light. Fortunately it went off after a few seconds, the alternator charges with around 14V at idle now. Thank fuck... That means that it should be pretty much ready for an MOT now! I'll probably see in 3 weeks when I get the chance to book it in again. I drove it up and down the estate today to check if everything is functioning correctly, it actually feels great to drive and sounds glorious banging through the gears so definitely something to look forward to coming back. A few small items I didnt want to leave out in this thread. You can still buy new OEM center armrest lids for 35 quid so the old one went straight in the bin, no clue what happened to it. Much better, small things like this instantly elevate the interior: I've also had to replace one of the taillight bulbs. Not really hard at all, pop out a few clips and its right there: It would have been even easier had I noticed the access hatch before... And that shall be it for now. I also wanna use the upcoming trip to get a few parts for the various fleet members I wouldn't easily be able to get from the UK. I might even give the local junkyard a visit to hunt for some treasure. Stay tuned!
  22. It's funny how people in different countries react to cars that are (were) entirely normal elsewhere. One of the reasons I own the obscure stuff I own, EDUCATE!😂 I'd recognize a dustbuster from a mile away.
