  1. So in the last two days I had a “self levelling suspension fault” flash up on the E61. Sone research showed I’ve got rear air bags…fuck sake. It went away but then earlier today I noticed the OSR sagging but when I returned it had sorted itself. I was due to see family today so packed stuff in the boot and then popping out to the shop I hear the compressor going off and refusing to turn off. Turns out if a bag is leaking it’ll carry on running until it dies. I managed to find the fuse for it and pull it so no dead battery. I will be replacing it for a shocks/springs conversion kit on the rear instead, fuck am I messing around doing air bags and stuff.
  2. I am determined to find one at a market and wear it in winter with no regrets!
  3. Plenty of those around Mediterranean countries but surely overkill here?
  4. Belongs to @rob88h and for sale on this very forum

  6. Escort Cossie around Hemel..he was giving it beans as well…current market values though I’d be hiding it away!
  7. Liked for the headunit only. That’s shit about the SBC but fairly certain they can be reset due to the counter inside dependant on the code. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184448584338?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=_xpMR1pWQZC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=KCW16zwOSD-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. Jesus I’ve had to have an in-depth trawl through my memory to recall them all, bearing in mind I’ve been driving for only 13 years, totals 47 cars 😁 I think I’ve done them all as listed below in no real order: ‘98 Citroen Saxo 1.1 ‘02 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 ‘02 Vauxhall Vectra 2.2 DTi ‘00 Citroen Xantia HDi Exclusive ‘95 Mercedes 190E ‘08 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 ‘06 Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTI ‘08 Vauxhall Insignia 1.9 CDTI ‘14 Vauxhall Insignia CDTi ‘05 BMW 118i ‘07 BMW 120i ‘03 Audi A3 1.9TDi ‘98 Audi A8 4.2 V8 Quattro ‘02 Audi A4 2.4 V6 Avant ‘03 Audi A6 1.9 TDi ‘02 Lexus LS400 ‘08 Ford Mondeo Titanium 2.0 TDCi ‘03 Ford Focus 1.6 Ghia ‘02 Ford Focus ST170 ‘94 Toyota Corolla ‘98 Toyota Avensis 2.0 CDX ‘07 BMW 320d SE Saloon ‘06 BMW 320d M Sport Touring ‘97 BMW E39 523i ‘99 BMW E39 528i ‘09 VW Golf 1.9TDi ‘04 VW Bora 1.9TDi ’96 VW Golf 1.6 ‘99 Passat Estate 1.9 TDi ‘04 Volvo S60 Diesel ‘06 Subaru Legacy R Spec B ‘02 Lexus IS200 Sportcross ‘03 Lexus RX300 ‘04 Toyota Avensis 1.8 vvti ‘94 Honda Prelude ‘01 Honda Insight ‘09 Honda Civic CDTi ’12 Honda Civic CDTi ‘03 Mercedes E270 CDi ‘08 Mercedes CLS 320CDi ‘05 Mercedes C220CDi Estate ‘10 Audi A6 2.0 TDi ‘04 Saab 9-5 ‘04 Saab 9-5 Aero ‘07 Mazda 3 Sport ‘91 Rover 216 GSi ‘07 BMW E60 535D
  9. True it is hard to quantify the difference with actual figures. It’s something I wanted to try and in all honesty I’m satisfied, only a few quid anyway, not like it was mega expensive.
  10. Had a full engine carbon clean today. Can thoroughly recommend it. I know there’s some sceptics however it had made a noticeable difference. Low down acceleration is smoother and a lot sharper than before.
  11. Second this. Very common. There’s an uprated relay you can buy direct from Honda, it’s around £40 or so if I remember. Take the relay out and if you shake it and it rattles you’ve got your answer.
  12. I would have suggested MAF too, but in my experience that disappears when you restart the engine. This fault of yours appears more mechanical, and potentially the early stages of box failure.
  13. The E60 has had the swirl flaps done today thankfully. Mind at ease and once again I have got to say, Marc’s Independant BMW in Aldridge is brilliant. Well priced and an expert.
  14. Extreme weather calls for extreme measures. Seeing as I will not be venturing out at all today and the car is parked in direct sunlight, I’ve taken a leaf out of the Mediterranean way and covered the dash in blanket. Also did the same with the interior leather as I don’t want it melting. Yes they are bedsheets that you can see there too.
  15. Someone’s actually bought one😂
  16. Having cast aside my annoyance at the windscreen crack to the E60 (new one scheduled for Saturday) I managed to source a proper space saver spare wheel and kit rather than the compressor stuff which never works. £80 and tbh, not bad considering I couldn’t see them cheaper elsewhere.
  17. Ok the tints you hated yes, but lord don’t return it to full old man spec!
  18. Found a picture for you, I took it as reference just in case I forgot going forward.
  19. Yeah they are wrong, a touch too slim. I had the same attitude towards them as the tyres are very recent so no point wasting money. EDIT: I’m fairly certain they should be 265/35/18 as the identical wheels on a newer E class that they come from had this size as stock and looked good .
  20. It’s gone to a friend of the owner of Stone Cold classics. It was offered to a couple shiters via PM but didn’t hear back afterwards unfortunately. I’m sure it’ll find a good home though, he was passionate about that.
  21. Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire to the West Midlands on Monday if anyone does so require.
  22. Haha yes! I spoke to Wayne and asked him to get Matt to review it before he moved it on! 🙌🙌
  23. 417k mile ex taxi Avensis…
