  1. Be like me! (With less camshafts)
  2. I’ve never heard of someone being to young for the flu jab, I’ve had it every year since I was 20.
  3. The Second/Third Year Apprentice: Male, around 20 years old, pathetic moustache/beard, awful haircut that cost far to much, wears one of those sleeveless T-shirts with massive arm holes. Drives a new Toyota Hilux or Ford Ranger, purchased on finance, massive mud terrain tyres, two inch lift kit, multiple LED light bars, obnoxious exhaust, oversized eBay Chinese turbo with blow off valve, tray full of massive toolboxes. Often seen making illegal overtaking manoeuvres on blind corners and crests, interior smells of watermelon vape, seen commonly in groups of likeminded apprentices parked on the nature strip outside the local dodgy night club attempting to pick up some skanky tart half full of vodka and red bull. When driving to the job site during the week the vehicle will be heavily laden with timber and building supplies, usually unrestrained in the back or gaffer taped to the roof bars. Said supplies are near impossible to retrieve from the roof bars given the lift kit and mud tyres that have never seen a speck of mud in their lives. Weekends will find this individual driving to a cash in hand job whilst still processing the drink from last night. Cash job taken on to help pay off the loan on the truck, and the accessories, and the tools, and the drink, and the money owed to the folks.
  4. If you had the number plate XJS53C you would presume you would put it on your 5.3L V12 XJS? No?
  5. All the light/grill combinations should be cross compatible. Magna TS grill with Verada KS lights would be my combination too.
  6. It would surprise me if that was the case as the estates were all built in Australia, so in theory the headlamps should be the same. This may also explain the build date/registration date confusion as it may have been some time between the car being built in Australia and it being shipped to the UK for sale. Being a presumably expensive when new car, given the trim level, that was only imported in small numbers making it very rare from new would explain it sitting in the dealership for some time before being sold. If you are looking at getting a replacement grill, there are 4 different designs. Magna TR Magna TS Verada KR Verada KS
  7. I should also mention that as yours looks to be a posh spec one, the Magna was also sold in a more luxurious version called the Mitsubishi Verada (KR/KS). If it’s headlamps you are looking for, may I recommend a set of Verada lamps as they look a bit nicer than the Magna lamps with the smoked look and gingercators. Magna Lamps: Verada Lamps:
  8. Holden is dead and buried. We get some Stellantis brands in Australia, mostly the former PSA and Fiat/Chrysler cars.
  9. A local removal firm has a short wheelbase, high top Sprinter that looks very odd, similar to below.
  10. Im very glad to see that the Sigma estate has been saved! We had one as a family car when I was a child and I have quite the soft spot for them, especially the estates. When looking in Australia for parts, keep in mind that is was called the Mitsubishi Magna in the home market, specifically it is a TS Magna (1994-1996) but the TR Magna (1991-1993) is essentially the same. If you need any assistance in Australia sourcing spares, drop me a line.
  11. Fibre optic source lamp is located in the centre console, remove the ski slope and it should be to the left of the gear selector.
  12. That sounds like most, if not all, visits to see my grandad. He’s a retired builder and carpenter, so we get chatting about whatever projects we’re doing, then out to the garage/workshop where I look at what he’s working on and he gives me things to use on my projects. Last visit I left with a cupboard door knob, some router bits and a filing cabinet.
  13. An interesting period comparison between the Mitsubishi Sigma (Lonsdale YD41) and Holden Camira (Vauxhall Cavalier) from 1982 driving both across Australia. Bonus Mercedes S123 content and a very 80s soundtrack. The conclusion reached by the motoring experts is certainly different from that of the buying public.
