Not sure if this is the correct place for this question...
Yesterday I saw a black Jeep Cherokee (2014 - 2019 version), RHD, yellow plates at the back white at the front just like normal except the number was (if I remember correctly) DH100AF. There was no spacing but the numbers and letters where clearly not faffed about with. The chap driving it was of a military bearing but wearing civvies.
Is this an armed forces vehicle? I know recent 'army' numbers are in the format AB12CD which replaced the traditional 12AB34 but have they extended the digits in the middle to 3? If not what is it?
I've been racking my brains (and google!) about this and it is unusual. The format wouldn't fit any of the UK (inc diplomatic), Isle of Man or Channel Island plates. I have seen a couple of USAF Ford vans with UK style plates (colour, shape, typeface etc.) with obviously American formats, so potentially it was a car from a US base that they'd bought here?
Otherwise, it's a mystery ?

Anybody fancy a bus with no engine? If that doesn't sell it to you, it's also an IVECO.
Listed conspicuously as "Mr" in the ad title and has 0 bids so could be a bargain for someone looking for an ambitious project or a bus to convert into an airbnb. One of the more restrained seat coverings I've seen in a coach too.

I don't know how up to date this listing is, but this one has a number of terrible pictures of a nice looking green Panda which seems to still be up for sale

Incredible that design is more than 21yo. I've lost all track of car design dates but if you'd told me it was a 2015 I would not have disbelieved it.
Agree with you in that. I have one neighbour with a blue 206 and one with a blue 207 and the 206 not only looks younger, I’d argue it’s the best looking car in our car park.

The 2.5 5 cylinder and it’s in forum approved beige. Bids currently at <£750

Gorgeous.
Also conveniently located in the north east, so should you test drive, you can claim you’re simply checking your eyesight.

Handy if you have lots of kids or a bus lane on your commute.

Where’s Cavcraft when you need him? Tasteful* Combo van in Hull. Interesting to see it inspired Toyota with the Aygo colour schemes.

The Xsara’s sexy sister. Doesn’t get much more basic than this, perfect for hammering into a Hindustan Ambassador to pass lockdown boredom.

Fraid not chaps, a Sapphire would be the right body style though!

Be still my beating heart. The only colour SAAB drop tops should come in I reckon, just gorgeous.
Weirdly though, the ad states “Long MOT to Jun 18” and the MOT checker says it only has an MOT until June 13 2020? So maybe a wrongun, maybe a bargain. Still a stunner.

Do you find an MX-5 obnoxiously large, but still want a Japanese drop top with tan leather and a wooden steering wheel? Have I the car for you!

This seems canny. Giffer owned, new tyres all round and a full MOT. The last one of these I saw was more rust than paint, this one seems surprisingly well.

A purple, V6, LWB Vitara is probably quite a rarity. Converted to LPG too. Does it get any better?!

Rover 400* auto estate with only 19,000 miles (seemingly backed up by history) and currently a reasonable price. Will come with a years MOT too.
@Ghosty?

This seems like a good one. MOT til March, partial respray to combat lacquer peel and belts done at last service. Possibly replaced by another Volvo too?
Either way, Scotland is calling.

This is listed as “Car” and only has two pictures, this one and this one zoomed in. However, it is only £400 with MOT til February -
No clutch and it’s in Lincolnshire are some downsides but this is a fantastic colour and seems pretty clean and tidy -
Former ambulance with a “shit is that a copper” bonnet. 178k but I imagine very well maintained?
