When we had the kitchen redone last year, we didn't go for the Quooker tap (Β£1000? FRO...!) but I was persuaded that an induction hob would be an improvement over the gas equivalent. Still not convinced.

On one of Phil Chidlow's curated 'challenges' in 2022, just weeks after Pete Sparrow had completed a 720cc conversion. 2500 miles around France was obviously the best* way to run in the new motor... The weather was unseasonably warm for late May, and the Dyane was reluctant to start when hot. In the pic, I had made the basic error of pausing at the top after a long run up the Gorges de l'Ardeche in 30deg temps! That bag of ice is trying to cool down various parts of the fuel system to stop the French 95-octane unleaded vaporising. It worked... sort of! Sticking to 98 Super made a difference.

It's all the fault of @MrsJuular but I have acquired a taste for the products of SCTSH brewers Innis & Gunn. But can I find them in the depths of the West Midlands? Other than a brief (and since passed) window of availability in certain Tesco branches, apparently not.
