  1. This also seems to apply to bicycles. When I was a kid in the 70's we all had bikes and roamed about everywhere on them with our mates or even just hanging about we had our bikes. You never seem to see a bunch of kids on a mixed bag of bikes just hairing around for fun now.
  2. Have we had Westlake yet? ZuperEco no less. On a courtesy A220d with 400Nm torque, wet junctions are not as quickly exited as I'd like. Sent from my Note 13P using Tapatalk
  3. The shoes on the guy Woolarding seem at odds with the band image!
  4. I recall seeing Hillend Motors, Glasgow doing an inter BCA transfer of small cars, Ka, Siecento etc back in the days of peaks. He'd managed to cram 12 on!
  5. Watching Car Wizard on YT the other night looking at a Dodge something estate car, basically a Chrysler 300C estate. About 15 years old with something like 260k miles on it. He had it on to show how shonkily it had been repaired after a crash but went on to say if it was in good condition it would be worth $10-15,000!! Cars apparently hold value in the US of A.
  6. Old trick this. Keep the prices up then when someone brings their fucked 140k mile Fiat Uno in as a P/X and gets offered £1300 for it they can't sign on the line fast enough. Amazing how many people don't look at the P/X to buy gap but get fixated an a good trade-in price and they'll be back in 3 years for the next one!
  7. Is that the one they don't tell you the venue until the day before or something?
  8. @straightSix The £400 includes helmet and gloves.
  9. @straightSix Agree with Barry Cade on an LS2 helmet, superb value and comfort. Get a flip front so ne need to remove for petrol stations etc. £120 for this one LS2 Scope - Solid Matt Black - FREE UK DELIVERY (sportsbikeshop.co.uk). I'm a M head, 57-58cm with a decent nose on me and have no issues at all and the internal visor works with my specs too. For general motorcycling go for textile jacket and jeans preferably waterproof. Sportsbike shop do a decent range and again for value and quality I find Oxford clothing hard to beat Oxford Textile Jackets - FREE UK DELIVERY (sportsbikeshop.co.uk). You should be clad in decent waterproof gear for under £400. Keeping dry and warm makes a massive difference to your enjoyment, possibly even more than the choice of bike*
  10. Say you have a saloon reversed onto the peak, the distance of the car boot from the 5th wheel (trailer to truck coupling) might be 5m or so. Now imagine turning into or out of an A road junction, the boot of the car might now be 3-4m to the right or left of the side of the truck. Great fun in cities where you could swing the peak over cars or even low height city buses and watch peoples faces or even them ducking.
  11. No peak, where's the challenge in that? Are they actually illegal now?
  12. The road sign is too blurry to tell but I'm guessing London. More interested in when it was, '73 maybe '74?
  13. Bet it's a one driver all it's days truck.
  14. Drivers on minimum wage, aye?
  15. 250 tonne load sir? Certainly, when would you like it moved?
  16. Did they trespass though? The gate looked to be open and they could well have been in there doing some business but didn't film that bit. Nobody seemed to bother them anyway.
  17. Late 70's Mod revival by the look of it but the washed out look makes it look very 60's apart from the T reg of course.
  18. If you are replacing the seals in spring why don't you just use a decent* amount of windscreen sealer on it just now?
  19. Anyone got a clue why the engine is seemingly the wrong way round? Is it maybe a cut-n-shut with two front ends so one engine has to be back to front?
