I'd have bought that, but I've enough to be going on with.

    I'm not 73 for a fortnight.
Have not been looking too good, but the photo looks decent, obviously influenced by the purchase.

Taxed for 12 month FOC, Mot'd forever, insured for £106.
It's worse than it looks, but a new rear chassis leg, a patch or 2 and weld the front bumper to something and it'll be fine.
Had forgotten what leaf springs feel like. Might be better when there's something to attach the shocker to.
Had to prop the seat up at the back so I can reach the pedals  TADTS.
Brakes are not quite sufficient for the speed, perhaps I'm going too fast?
Best things are the steering wheel and the green indicator light on the stalk.
Still busy with the stock car, but almost there, will work longer and faster now.

Just realised that was a picture with you and the car. I skipped past earlier as I thought it was stock picture. You got it for a proper steal by the looks of it. Also you look a lot younger than I thought you said you were.

    Fortunately we have made contact.
I'd forgotten, but we have had dealings before when I sold him a welder to repair the Moggy.
He says it's mine, later in the day we may have (not very) solid proof of this.

Been busy, but the photos don't show much.
Exhaust on, bonnet cut to fit.

Needs a bit more gap to allow for movement.

Ecu in, dash done, fuel pump, battery, transponder, all wired up ready to go.

When shockers are removed, diff must not hit seat. (safety issue), ie axle hits chassis before diff hits seat.
    This can cause problems.
    Seat's clear.
    But not yet hit chassis.

You are allowed to fit a bump stop between axle and chassis.
At the moment it's that, or raise the seat and get a shorter driver
Should be a steel plate under the seat, but it's lost at the moment.

Crem was full, pub was full.
I didn't blub, which felt strange.
Met people she worked with that I haven't seen for 30 years, kids who remembered her and are now in their 40s.
    Whole thing went very well.
If anyone has the misfortune to need organise a Funeral in Greater Manchester area I can recommend an inexpensive place with top notch service.

Thanks to all for your thoughts and assistance.

Picking a new chassis up Saturday all being well. Normal service will be resumed after that.

Apologies for the disjointed joins I'm crap on't internet.

Engine from scrapman, free, and he pays for his sign writing on the car, CaRiP, Rochdale, been with us a good few years now.

Take this to Tommy, he strips it examines it rebuilds it. For £500. (£600) now I think, just paid him in time.
You don't get rolling road set up, but ours have all been fine and other builders are £1200 minimum.
Some do race scrapyard engines and win though.

    Returned from Tommy.

    Leave it there for now.
As the Title says 'and life' we may have a funeral report next. Good a place as any. See how I feel on Thursday.
