I do like a shop that sells crisps, sweets, flip flops and any variation of fuel in a pop bottle

I think the Consumers Association thing about Moskvitch safety was more about the condition of the cars on delivery rather than any major defect in the design. Even some Western European cars, particularly volume British ones, were delivered to customers in a fairly shocking state by modern standards.
The main reason the Moskvitch 1500 was binned by the importers was the launch of the Lada - suddenly they had a much more modern looking, sellable vehicle to offer. Ladas were also better quality due to the modern factory (packed full of up to date equipment) that Fiat had built for the Russians in the late 60s.
Moskvitch imports over here had ceased by the time the facelift one with the square headlights came out.

The go case is packed, the PC is one, and true to @barefoot form, as we had only a coffee for breakfast, we've had to chase the bus for 10 miles as it came by early.

It’s not ‘your’ thread though is it? Even if you started it, you only have ownership of your own contribution, not other people’s replies.

Don't squander £4k on something as disposable as a £4k car.

Absolutely shagged, but seems an honest listing.
    'Collection Sandycroft CH5'
For those of you who have never had the pleasure* of visiting Sandycroft, it's basically a sea-less Rhyl with none of it's plus points.

I bought some pans recently, supposedly made for induction hobs then a week or so later I picked up a set of le cruset pans at a boot sale
The le cruset are fantastic on induction, the small pan heats a ½  litre of water from tap to boiling in under 2 minutes
The chinashite ones, I could still dip my fingers in the pan after 2 minutes

'Ooft, must eat juice being a V6'

The autobox seems to change up early, meaning you're never stressing the engine, it just wafts, BUT press the sport button and its a different version of events, I can see why they chose a V6 in the mental Clios.
A few weeks (month ?) Of wafting around in this, and I won't lie it is THE most comfortable car I've owned, I even lent it to a friend, and even he said 'this floats along similar to my old Bentley, just needs less aggressive tyres to be silent' , genuinely not making that up !!! .
Anyway non of this work would have been worth it, if it couldn't pass a MOT

MOT WHILE YOU WAIT. 🙈 These sort of places never normally end well, but:

    Yep, advisory free PASS.

2001 Nissan Elgrand Highway Star 3.5 V6 petrol RWD with 8 very comfortable seats! Owned by a mechanic and has been very well cared for 😊
Place your bets now as to how much fuel it uses on the way home!
