  1. LOL........

    Very Easy Repair or Spares

Well, if it's that easy, why don't you fix it first?........

The clutch hydraulics have just failed - I think that either the Clutch slave or master cylinder need replacing - the clutch has never slipped or crunched and always drove smoothly without any judders.  The brakes and clutch systems on this Alfa model share the same fluid reservoir and there was a loss of fluid when the clutch pedal went very floppy - luckily the car was on my drive when the problem arose and it has not moved since.

Hmmmmmm........Not that easy a repair then is it?....

  4. Hello All, Thought I would update on the Jaaaaag, I don't have anymore pictures of it, as I was rather busy to even think about pictures, but, they will follow, perhaps tomorrow...If not, some time this week.

Ok, So, The rear number plate removal process went like this,

Me & my Dad managed to eventually get the fucking thing off, using...x1 thick hand towel, x2 reasonable sized flat screwdrivers & x1 Medium sized Pry Bar....

After finding a spot where the flat headed screwdriver could be wedged in, we proceeded to gently lift the number plate, then insert part of the towel into the space, followed by the flat head screw driver & the medium sized pry bar & proceeded to lift (with quite some force) the number plate gradually all the way around, it gave up after around 10 mins (it was proper stuck on). Boyed by this sucess, we the fitted the new number plates that I had made up the other week there.

So it now sports it's original 53 plate, Reg number. I also did not get the S Type shaped rear number plate, as this was relatively expensive for just that plate.

The next thing that I noticed was, one of the stupid wheel nuts (not the locking nut)  has broken, just the top part of it (Stupid metal covered nut thing), the wheel is still being held by said broken wheel nut however, but I need to get this sorted.

Tomorrow, It goes away to get said wheel nut removed & it is also booked in for it's M.O.T.....Which is the moment of truth. From what I can see underneath it, seems solid enough, & there is no OMG crustiness mentioned in it's M.O.T history, So....Hopefully, all will be well & it will pass.

If it does pass, My Dad has said that he would be very very very interested in acquiring it for himself...Oh & tomorrow....I get the ball rolling on my CLK 430 (Finally..wooo hoo)....But that is for another thread.

Pictures of the Jaguar will be added...Maybe even a Pez station shot if it passes the MOT..

  5. Vw Golf MK5 Electric Window regulators regularly fuck up, same set up as the Mondeo by the sound of it, stupid cables & shitty disintegrating plastic parts...

What happened to good old fashioned metal/toothed window mechanisms?.....All modernz are shit etc....

    Nice old Barge though...

  6. Around 5 or 6 years ago, My Dad's friend had a smart looking Black 110 Defender crewcab pick up, It was a 1997 P reg.

Same as this one pictured below..

    6584.1317806350.jpg

Anyway, He had it hooked up to a car trailer which he used to move cars about (auction collections etc) & one morning during the early hours, an attempt was made to steal it.

They had broke the passenger side front window & gained entry, They then had attempted to burst the ignition, as the cowling was broken off & the ignition barrel was barely hanging in there, but they must have got disturbed when doing this, as the attempted theft was only discovered by my Dads friend the next again morning.

He got rid of it pretty quickly after that. It put him off owning a Defender. Which was a shame, because it was handy for me as he moved my cars around for me, using the defender & trailer.

I personally have never had one, but I do not fancy having one after looking at that Landywatch page....They go missing fairly frequently
