I curled out something bespoke a few hours ago funny enough.
I read the whole description for that horrible piece of shit....Was the seller on drugs when they agreed to have their car fucked up like that?
-
-
That one was bid to 4,600 last week.
I had not seen it before. However, It must be fucked, or....It was won by one of they retards that bid on an item, win it, then dont pay, or show up etc....Ebay is rife with that shit now.

A completely shit engine; but not too bad with a turbo, an r19 dturbo or a megane shift nicely; but the non turbos are shit (and when the head gasket fails, and it will, the head is scrap; the engine is overwhelmed in an empty Berlingo mk1)
I know this is 90's diesel engines, but, was the above mentioned engine fitted to non turbo diesel early mk1 renault kangoo vans? I ask because, I once bought one of these at auction many moons ago now, & on the way down the M90.....It decided it wanted to overheat & promptly did so in the outside lane...& then when I got it onto the hard shoulder, let it cool down, it flat refused to start again.......Piece of fucking shit.
I scrapped it once I got it home. Just curious as it was a 1.9 Non Turbo diesel.

Generally, Cars recorded on the V-CAR register, as Category C or Category D write offs, are worth less value wise, than a non recorded, non damaged vehicle.
I personally would not buy a Cat C car, no matter what age it is, However, category D, I would. Weird I know, but that is just me.
Weirdly, Just last week, in one of the car auctions that I watch, there was an old 2001, 51 plate Audi A4, Which had been recorded as Cat B & Declared as sold for scrap in 2005??? This was in the listing description,
I did not see who bought it, But I would not have liked to.
I was under the Impression that CAT B vehicles were never to be put back on the road again? Sorry, I know you asked about CAT D cars.

The ubiquitous Ford 1.8 D Engine, As found in many Escort vans & Fiesta MK3's..... Slow as shit, but pretty much bomb proof if looked after....Well, The ones I had were pretty decent at the time anyway.
Also, as previously mentioned, Another Vote for the 2.5 Ford Transit engine.

Great car and hopefully will not disappoint.
With regards to the autbox; if you do not have any information in the service history about auto trans fluid change then it would be a good idea to plan to do one especially if the fluid looks a bit brown or 'burnt'.
The fluid is JWS3309 for the Aisin Warner transmission NOT conventional ATF! The most thorough method is a full flush and googling this will bring up various information and also utube vids on the subject. The full flush is sometimes referred to as the 'Gibbons Method' and gets the trans fluid as clean as possible. However you will need to buy a 20l drum of fluid, some tubing and measuring jugs as this will use about 13 to 15l to get the fluid clean. I did this to our XC70 just after purchase and can vouch for its effectiveness.

Hi All, This is probably the wrong board to post this on, However, I thought before I try the tree of gum, I would offer this on here in case anyone you know has just passed their test, or is just looking for a cheap runabout.
It is a 2006, 06 Reg Peugeot 107 Urban, 1.0........3 Door, Nice Light Metallic Blue colour.
Covered 90,000 miles, Had x2 previous owners.
It starts & runs as it should. It drives ok also.
Good Points, £20 for 1 years Road Tax, Dirt cheap insurance & Very very good on fuel. Usual 107 Urban Spec, Electric Windows, Remote locking etc.
MOT'D Until End of September 2018. Has Spare Key.
Bad Points,
it is going to need a clutch replacement soon, as the pedal is high, Still Drives ok despite this.
It also has a very minor dent on the near side rear & I do mean minor.
The locking button from the remote key is missing, but the remote still works.
These appear to do decent monies on the bay of E........However, as I need the space & I am also not willing to deal with Ebay time wasters,, I thought I would offer it on here before it gets advertised.
Any fellow Autoshiters, the price to you is £750- Drive it away
Car is located in Scotland....Slap Bang Between Edinburgh & Glasgow. Pictures Will Be added tomorrow, as it is dark now.
Example Pic Below.....Same Colour & Year.
No White Stripes Though...

I nearly fell out my chair when I saw what it finished up at!! Very nice little earner.
It was the exact same this one......Same Year etc. They sold around x10 of them at SMAG in Kinross at the time.
From Memory, it was eitheir L324 SAS Or L323 SAS I Bought..
