Personally, I would (and did) send any correspondence to the other party signed for - they can't claim it wasn't received then. If they don't collect from the post depot, that's not your problem - you followed procedure and sent documentation as instructed, which of course you can then prove if requested with the receipt and tracking info.

Address wise. I'd ignore the address on companies house and use whichever address it is the court has registered.

Assuming this is the bathroom saga, remember to document as much of the events prior to starting court action as you can - dates of phone calls (and anything you can remember from them), date and copies letters sent, copies of inspections by a 3rd party, all that sort of thing. Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but that sort of thing becomes harder and harder to do as weeks pass, so best doing it sooner rather than later. If you do that and it's all as you described on here, I really can't see how the court will do anything but find in your favour

If it helps at all, in my limited experience of small claims court, it's the run-up that's the stressful part.

The actual hearing is quite straight forward and nothing like you imagine it to be - mine was basically the judge and both parties around a table. If you have a clear case, evidence to back it up and can show you've behaved decently, you'll be fine and should win.

With spring finally having sprung, I dragged one of the 205 from it's prolonged winter slumber, re-insured it (a whisker over £100 FC - bargain) and then sailed through it's MOT with no advisories.  Rewarded it with a service and replacing the suspected under-reading oil pressure sender - it's now gained about 2 bar across the board and now subjectively looks to read about what I'd expect and less like it's one redline from grenading.

Looking at the MOT certificate, I only did 2500 miles in it last year which is bordering on criminal - it's no investment-grade concours example so deserves to be used and enjoyed whenever the opportunity arises.  The pleasure in these cars is driving them after all.

Your 205 is Pebble Beach spec compared to mine (which is more Skegness Beach). Seems we've done over 50000 miles in it in 7 years, which is probably big miles for one nowadays. It's still the only car we own that gets notes under the wipers from hopeful buyers, though.

Yup, I understand they're still a fair old whack, but having worked there for a fair stretch we never quibbled over the lifetime guarantee.

Even when it was fucking obvious they'd burst the socket and fucked the wrench ratchet by slipping an 18-foot length of pipe over the end and getting their mates from the rugby club to jump up and down on it.

    No problem, sir. No problem.

Remember that oil pressure =/= crankcase pressure.

You can easily have crankcase pressure through the roof due to blocked breathers, worn rings or whatever, when the oil pressure is fine and being governed by the relief spring as mentioned.
