Laugh at those A-series peasants in your 2-litre luxury sport brake (longroof) version of Britain's favourite* middleweight, the Montego.
On the plus side it's £350 and has a ticket.
On the minus side? Factory standard surprise and delight features:
    Sagging but secure headlining.
Tailgate is currently opened from the inside but have replacement key and barrel ready to go on, I have preferred to not change it for the added security.
Periodic water ingress to front footwells.

Just been over to Aldi in Clitheroe for a couple of bottles of wine and stopped for some gratuitous pics on the way home…

    Sheep were distinctly uninterested…

And finally for tonight, a (very small fraction of the) fleet shot.

It comes to something when I now consider the 124 my modern… 🤔🤨

I was once printing off an application form for a job when the printer stopped mid flow. Brand new printer, from pc world.
I tried everything. It refused to print another page. It got my right foot through the top of it before hitting the side of my garage wall as I launched it through the kitchen door.

I am subsequently banned from using printers at home.

    good. Hateful things.

but as per the rover, I really hope you get it running. Shame im not local to you so I can assist with the digitals.

The problem is that many people don't know any better. Their car breaks and they believe the best or only place to fix such issues is at a dealer. Not helped by many (decent) garages been swamped and not wanting to deal with such electrical problems.
I do take issue with this comment though:
"I’m not sure when it became the norm for this type of diagnostic charging to take place, but it is now ubiquitous."
While Audi's hourly rate is bonkers expensive, someone has to pay for the time figuring the problem. If it's not the customer, it's the garage in lost time they could be doing paid work. In some/many cases the time to diagnose will be far longer than the time to replace the broken part.

Neither of you are too far wrong, however it's a big Cadillac! Plan is (once a few other projects are out the way) to get it running and driving, get it road registered and then race it with the VSCC Edwardian section! Won't quite keep up with the big Darracq and the Fiat S76, but 50hp in just over a tonne ought to be more than sufficient to be exciting for that level of roadholding and brakes ...

That's pretty criminal, and I really no longer give a shit about banger racing generally. Destroying a unique car does seem likea pretty poor show - looks like another racer also has (or had) something similar to send round the track.

AAAANYWAY because everyone's a cunt, not just banger racers, I thought it was a pretty poor show for Gaydon or whoever it was to scrap the surviving Rover P8 prototype a couple of years ago
