Sometime in the early '80s I drew an idea for a Giulietta hatchback, will have to see if I can find it. My dad had one at the time (a standard 1.8 saloon, that is).
It would just have been a side profile view, as all my car drawings were back then. That must be why I went into drawing buildings, they're usually reasonably easy to represent with 2D elevations....

Many years ago I bought a 96 Mini a long way from home and lost the clutch almost as soon as I left.managed to drive 150 miles home at night without the clutch, figuring I would be on the motorway for most of it and wouldn't need to change gear. It was a loss of pedal that just seemed to be air in the system,I bled the system and topped the master up and never had a problem with it afterwards, just one of those weird one off problems.

    new purchase . . .

^ mostly from Classic Car LED's ..but for the four indicator bulbs on the left hand side, which were much cheaper on ebay. I thought I'd give them a try as they offered a saving of £25.  The top left bulb is a high power (equivalent of 50w headlamp bulb) reversing light bulb.  It was expensive but CC LED's were out of that type and I wanted a very bright light to see what I might otherwise be reversing into.    The two bulb holders on the right I'll fit into the headlamp bowls, same as I did with my TR4, because although the wing-top side lights are bright enough with LED's they are so tiny that they are difficult for others to judge the distance of.  Headlamps are much more familiar to contemporary drivers.

Otherwise, I've been feeding the seat's leather with Connelly Hide Care. . .

The pot says to apply it sparingly, whereas I put it on liberally with a sponge and then shoe-brush it in to the creases and stitches, and the seat squab's perforations.  I used half a pot for the first application. It looks very dull because I've put it on and not polished it off yet. I'll leave the car parked in the sun to allow it time to soak in. Then I'll repeat it.  Only then will I polish it off and use an old towel to cover the seats for the next couple of weeks of driving.

thats very interesting! that does not actually line up with any Model 70 that I am aware of, I look forward to seeing anymore details you can grab next time round

a bit more then read the book, I have been in direct communication with him for a little bit now
it turns out when he went to the Coventry archives to look at their registration records, even tho he himself is not an IC enthusiast per say, he noticed the large blocks of Tippen Delta's and made note of the earliest blocks and the last blocks, data which he very kindly shared with me and has proven to be most awesome to have
it will be getting a write up in its own time, but it confirmed I was very much correct/on the right track when it came to my Tippen Delta block finding, and has provied me with a wealth of additional information, especially on the early blocks

and confirmed that indeed OVC412H-OVC511H was both the last block of Petrol Tippen Delta's but the last block period, before Fred Miller Limited took over with their rebuilding scheme

I then proceeded to blow Mr Mar's mind when I told him Tippen Delta's could reverse  he says Non reversibles is exactly how its described by coventry themselves so he finds its (very understandably so) very curious that Delta's could indeed reverse

I have got another for him like that which I have yet to pass on, but its funnily enough also with regards to Tippen Delta's the Fred Miller Tippen Delta machines, its well known on these beige pages those are petrol machines rebuilt and re-registered anew into electric machines, but note, ATD567J for example, is *not* in Lancashire's rebuilt series, none of the rebuilt Tippen Delta's are

Yup - British Leyland are going to get £350M a week too.
I saw it on the side of a (Leyland National) bus.

Great to see REV getting really decent attention to detail. At least that way you've got the maximum chance of some semblance of reliability when you finally find yourself back behind the handlebars again.
