  1. How did they get it off?! I thought they were really firmly attached underneath? Cut it? Lucky no damage? Really 'old money' folk take the mascots off anyway and put their own on. 'Old Bill' was popular with military types. Thought valuable now. Find something cheap and cheerful of your own to put back? If you are leaving it out I'd remove the hubcaps too. Sorry to hear about this. Total idiots. The market for these nicked RR badges has to be miniscule - bet it turns up somewhere.
  2. Old main entrance at Pinewood Studios. Home of the James Bond set.
  3. Any survive do you think @LightBulbFun? Some info on the inventor here: https://blogs.libraries.wright.edu/news/outofthebox/2012/12/21/levitt-luzern-custer-inventions/
  4. GLM 37C and DC7 were the same car. [Thought the film car probably had a made-up plate put on for the filming] Explained here: https://forum.etypeuk.com/viewtopic.php?t=1397 The personal plate DC7 still in use on another car.
  5. Donald Campbell's house I presume. The E-Type was his. The vehicle on the right is a prototype land speed car, Bluebird Mach 1.1 (CMN-8) he was developing at the time of his death in the Bluebird watercraft. Really the bravest of the brave. The new Bluebird had a designed top speed of 800mph+. I've seen the middle land speed car close-to. Amazing thing.
  6. It's the photographer Maurice Rowe I think: https://www.goodwood.com/grr/columnists/doug-nye/doug-nye-remembering-motorsport-photographer-legend-maurice-rowe/ The signed picture has some value as he was well respected. Well worth £48 IMHO. https://cars.bonhams.com/auction/25454/lot/89/the-maurice-rowe-photographic-archive-offered-for-sale-with-full-copyright-qty/
  7. Looks like the people behind had just found a dead body in the camper?
  8. Was also a popular spot with Standard/Triumph - they used it for various car adverts...
  9. That's not AI - that's true. They were driving over to pick up Elvis who was living in a red double-deck bus on their way out of the studio to get a burger.
  10. That's the film where Gollum doesn't bother about the ring he lost but goes to open a bar in Goa instead.
  11. Q - I think your ejector-seat needs more work .
