  3. Can you get the bike up Baldwin Street? Also if you want a good view of the peninsula you should be able to get the bike up to Mount Cargill. Certainty do able by estima and Nissan Tiida. Oh and the UK OS maps app covers nz as well

  7. Thanks @Andyrewmost of the credit should go to the Black line Mig and hobbyweld 5 gas... Anyway onwards, cleaned* up: On with etch primer, this did react in places with the residual lanogaurd: I won't claim to be good at painting or having a particularly good coating system but my process is going to be as follows: etch prime, then either hammerite underseal (the one with added waxoil) or the cheap screwfix black hammerite type paint followed by the annual lanogaurd once the bulkhead is back on.

  10. While the bulkheads off it's time for some chassis welding: Hole: Bigger hole: Patch cut: Welded up: It makes a change to weld bits of chassis that are accessible and not upside down.
  11. Progress... Repair or replace? Replacement isn't cheep but should last 40 years
  12. Roll on 8 weeks and we had progress till rain stopped play. Only a couple of bolts to get the other wing off, loads of lovely rust, but all repairable so far.
  13. Had a Lanvigator Performax H/T fitted to use as a spare today. In fairness I did ask my local tyre place for the cheapest 245/65 R17 they had, hopefully we won't need to use it.
  14. I'd consider that normal... Pretty sure this is the plug from my lt77 box, if not it's the transfer box one.
  15. Well I didn't update the thread with last years pre MOT welding... however to bring us upto date as fresh sorn is applied, the 110 is freshly washed. Let the summer welding season commence! (it about 4 weeks time when I have some time!). After 11 years it's time to tackle the bulkhead again.
  16. I did many miles in a rental accent (Melbourne to Cairns) in Aus, think this was a 16 or 17 model year, looked the same but I'm sure every panel was different to the near identical older i30. These were sold along side the new shape i30 for $AU cheap (equivalent to Dacia money IIRC.).

  19. What type of carport/tent are you using? How have you found it stands up to the elements? I'm considering one to bridge the 5m gap between the leaky garage and leaky carport.
  20. If you do remove the Saab valve don't forget to fit a 4mm restrictor in it's place. See my thread for more details, that was some fun fault finding...

  22. The EKA code I think, I don't know if it was a thing on the later ones. Yours will have a Pektron(?) ECU which are known for failing in odd intermittent ways but are repairable. Someone on here has just had the ecu repaired on their ZR.
  23. I think these were made in Germany in the mid to late 00's, I remember them in a feature in LRO at the time.
