  1. Looks exactly like that, never knew what to search to find one. 3 x 3 point seat belts in the back was a big selling point when we upgraded to the scenic. Not sure the AI description works for the ebay listing though.
  2. Really enjoying this thread, we had a 309GLD growing up before it got part ex'd for a scenic in 2001. We always said GLD stood for Grand Luxury Diesel, safe to say we'd never been in an actual luxury car... It also had a device, I think called a safety bar fitted in the boot to convert the centre lapbelt to a four point harness, although I've never found any trace of such a device on the Internet.
  3. Towed a stuck van in the car park of our local country show. Turns out fwd and transit/ducato type thing full of cheese gets stuck easily. On the plus side unexpected payment.
  4. Yes save striping it all down again in 12 years time
  5. Nice work, makes me look like a wimp buying a new bulkhead instead of repairing on my defender...
  6. Can you get the bike up Baldwin Street? Also if you want a good view of the peninsula you should be able to get the bike up to Mount Cargill. Certainty do able by estima and Nissan Tiida. Oh and the UK OS maps app covers nz as well
  7. If you're somewhere big enough for a pizza hut I'm sure there's a dairy doing chicken + chips with chicken salt
  8. We're talking exVat? In that case a brand new land cruiser. http://www.rowlandsandhordonautomotivesolutions.co.uk/new-land-cruisers/index.html
  9. Beware spare parts from the blue company
  10. Thanks @Andyrewmost of the credit should go to the Black line Mig and hobbyweld 5 gas... Anyway onwards, cleaned* up: On with etch primer, this did react in places with the residual lanogaurd: I won't claim to be good at painting or having a particularly good coating system but my process is going to be as follows: etch prime, then either hammerite underseal (the one with added waxoil) or the cheap screwfix black hammerite type paint followed by the annual lanogaurd once the bulkhead is back on.
  11. De ja vu? Bigger hole: Patch cut: Welded up: As far as I know that's the end of chassis welding for this year but will no doubt be proved wrong!
  12. I'm sure this passed the hammer test earlier on this evening...
  13. While the bulkheads off it's time for some chassis welding: Hole: Bigger hole: Patch cut: Welded up: It makes a change to weld bits of chassis that are accessible and not upside down.
  14. Progress... Repair or replace? Replacement isn't cheep but should last 40 years
  15. Roll on 8 weeks and we had progress till rain stopped play. Only a couple of bolts to get the other wing off, loads of lovely rust, but all repairable so far.
  16. Had a Lanvigator Performax H/T fitted to use as a spare today. In fairness I did ask my local tyre place for the cheapest 245/65 R17 they had, hopefully we won't need to use it.
  17. I'd consider that normal... Pretty sure this is the plug from my lt77 box, if not it's the transfer box one.
  18. Well I didn't update the thread with last years pre MOT welding... however to bring us upto date as fresh sorn is applied, the 110 is freshly washed. Let the summer welding season commence! (it about 4 weeks time when I have some time!). After 11 years it's time to tackle the bulkhead again.
  19. I did many miles in a rental accent (Melbourne to Cairns) in Aus, think this was a 16 or 17 model year, looked the same but I'm sure every panel was different to the near identical older i30. These were sold along side the new shape i30 for $AU cheap (equivalent to Dacia money IIRC.).
  20. I didn't even know they were a thing! Vauxhall like rebadging old vans, anyone seen the new movano?
  21. Cheers, for the price that looks hard to go wrong with
  22. What type of carport/tent are you using? How have you found it stands up to the elements? I'm considering one to bridge the 5m gap between the leaky garage and leaky carport.
  23. If you do remove the Saab valve don't forget to fit a 4mm restrictor in it's place. See my thread for more details, that was some fun fault finding...
