  1. Amazing find. It’s a garden like that, somewhere, which will contain a Lonsdale.
  2. Someone on here had an absolute bargain of a V50 that needed very little work and wasn’t worth that much.
  3. Sorry for the thread drift, but I have a similar story. A colleague was daydreaming while in a meeting with two client reps, one called Roger. Colleague wakes up to hear the other client saying ‘I couldn’t agree with Roger more’. At which point colleague is frantically rummaging through the agenda trying to work out Roger Moore has come into the equation.
  4. Had exactly the same with Openreach just last week! Nice bloke but crikey, the smell…
  5. No, its the sound of angels you hear shortly after spinning backwards into the central reservation.
  6. I like this idea. Particularly because I feel sure the people who take chances with tyres are often the same people who still think there’s a week’s grace with MOT expiry dates, insurance etc.
  7. Pop the Passat in the back and use that as your toilet.
  8. Sounds like you need an exorcist!
  9. Just let them do their thing for the next 10 years, until everyone else realises this SUV thing is a fad. Then at least we’ll still have Lotus as a brand. It’s the same with Porsche and the Cayenne.
  10. I opened this thread expecting an update to say you’d swapped it for a Reliant Robin or a Hummer.
  11. Ah yes, left behind by an American Airman who never returned from a mission 😢 (to London)
  12. An E36 that hasn’t been used for drifting or the track?
  13. maybe we’ll see this on Iain Tyrell’s YouTube channel soon?
  14. Surely we should all welcome this? Seems like a perfect way to collect some old MOT-less rammell and drive to a pre-booked test, without having to pay the fee.
  15. Tailgated by one of these this morning. There’s some minor flooding round here so I guess he was out looking to rescue* people. Driver wears his hood up all the time.
  16. John’s on nodding terms with the scaffolder who displays an ‘All Lives Matter’ sticker across the windscreen of his 2 year old Transit pick-up - which looks like it’s suffered 20 years of abuse.
  17. I had one of these in 2006, as a brand new company car. Loved it, especially the quick roof. And I still quite like the styling too. My observation is that, like Binis, a number of these were sold to people who could just about afford the finance. But when the initial servicing package ran out, lots of these were neglected. I looked at several years after owning one and was hugely disappointed: patchy service history, tatty and poor repairs.
  18. When the journey started that occupant was a small child.
  19. Sorry, that most definitely should have read ‘period-correct stains on the seat’
  20. What, they were racing Rileys as well ffs?!

I buy on service history and evidence of regular use, every time. Nice purchase there.
