Home. Bang on 200miles. Pretty respectable economy. I did get above 40mpg until I got near home and decided to have some fun.
Need to figure why that airbag light is on. Code reader wasn't exactly clear what was the problem. Something about no communication with a Right Satellite module?

My smax used to do a similar thing with the steering. Like the power pump had turned off. Cured it by flushing the fluid through about 5 times.

Not slow but then not a slouch if you know what I mean?
Drop a gear from 5th to 4th and you don't quite get a punch that you do in other cars.
It's damn smooth engine though and makes a lot of nice noises. There is a sound pipe from the airbox to the scuttle which gives you plenty of induction noise.
Can see why the 3.0 is preferred but there is nowt wrong with this engine

Making good progress and half way.
Heater fan stopped working below half at Stratford area. Now at Birmingham Frankley services to get my glasses out of the boot. Heater fan coming in and out randomly when set to full now. Iirc these are based on E46 and I remember they have a hedgehog something that causes issues? Just some old car fun.
Anyway roof is staying down for now as 18C. Pushing on.

Pez shot. Going to give it a quick pressure wash at the petrol station as dust from a building work on a nearby house is all over the windscreen.
Need to get going as chin wagging too long and won't be 9pm till I'm back.

On Mersey Rail again now.
This station is like it's been nicked from a Disney film set.

Now at Stafford. Got off at platform 5 and planned ahead to go onto platform 3. Stood at platform 3 ... "Liverpool Lime Street is now on platform 5".
Got to love platform planning. I imagine it's an absolute nightmare if you're not a native English speaker.
No more first class so got to slum it from now on.
Checkout this old BT payphone. Haven't seen this branding for years!
If any pictures are stereotypical British transport infrastructure!

It's a rattly old thing - I think I'm sitting on the engine? The HST is my favourite for NVH comfort. Sadly no longer used on my usual commuting route.
Why is this air vent different to all the others? Genuinely intrigued!
