Got home, fired up my spare social media account and logged onto a page I'm banned from. What's that, an interesting car for sale with no price or any really worthwhile details. But sometimes you only need three things: What car it is, any MOT and a price. Got it all except price, frantic messaging and having to go to bed with no reply. Early up this morning, message has been read, reply sent. Could have been one of two things due to the year of car, bonus is it being the right one of two. More messaging, went to view tonight, spent 30 odd minutes getting it in and out of garage and jump starting, then it fired into life when working leads were attached. Good chat to the vendor, what a nice bloke. It was his dad's who sadly passed away recently. Anyhow, chatted money and I wasn't going to say no, they'd had one offer and a queue of people trying to view it.

Just buy an old LDV mini bus and a damp caravan. Get the Bostick out and Bob's your aunty'a fella.

Low mileage with a few niggly bits to be fixed. I call bargain.

Mine came with this "Record Monza" exhaust which claims to have a valve which makes it quiet until you put your foot down. The valve does nothing, it's rough as arseholes, sounds like a fucking tractor half the time. I can't believe they got it type approved. I think it's flipping great because I'm basically a child.

Also, connections to external sites at work are working painfully slowly.
 
This is due to some people in the fluids labs apparently transferring 'large amounts of data' to the point that our firewall is completely bricking it. The dickheads are doing it over lunch and have locked up their lab and fucked off for lunch themselves. It's well above my paygrade, but you'd think that a 5-6 figure piece of enterprise-level networking equipment would have some sort of safeguard against this in place. Instead, the entire university's external internet connection is on its knees at the moment. FFS.
