    Stents are wonderful;  I had mine done about 18 years ago and the next morning I felt supercharged and raring to go but was told you have a fortnight off work, SAD.  I think the insertion of the stents is easier than it was those years ago, and for me it was no worse than a trip to the dentist. The stents lasted me until about two years ago when further furring up slowed me down again;  I had a further angiogram two months back and was a bit set back by being told it was surgery not more stents and it would be sometime between September 2019 and September 2020 for the operations, bypasses and valve replacement.  Good news received yesterday  - rather than a long wait to be done in Plymouth I'm lined up for 4th October in a private hospital in Cheam - (Mrs K may be boarding out in Railway Cutting).
    Hopefully Mrs T will have as good an experience with stents as I had, and if not she will soon be referred on by the overstretched NHS to a private hospital to be bypassed.

    Got to sympathise with you here Bob, we get the same on the bins. This is despite within a couple of hundred yards all the beacons and strobes go on, signal to pull in, and we can't always get over as much as we'd like because narrow road, or pavement, or parked car &c. yet the bonnet of the car behind still gets between the guards around the bin lift, and when you creep up a yard so the blokes at the back can get a bin on or throw in a bag, the same car creeps up closing any workspace.
    Even seen people swear and gesticulate at bus drivers who pull up at a stop, because they've had to wait.
    One of the ballaches of being a professional driver.

    put me on the dinner list;  I'll bring along Krujoe's frying pan for its onward travels.   I'll sellotape a list to it to record  the game of how far can it travel before it returns to its home;

    Brown envelope in today's post;  another car tax I thought after donating £265 last month  - I hope it's the wife's car at £30;  no, it is my second driving licence renewal offer which I reckon really sets  me on the slippery slope from wrinkly to coffin dodger.
    It made me think how many over 70s ignore the licence renewal and are driving around without one, let alone the untruths about medical condition.  worryingly the questions don't include anything about general physical ability.  There are a good number around the village who struggle to get in and out of the car and/or  have badly reduced reaction times.
    The final question is "any problem which needs driving to be restricted to certain types of vehicle........."  ;  would this mean a friend who has to have an automatic due to lower limb neuropathy should declare himself?  (as he hobbles around on two sticks).
    "persistant alcohol use?" - looking at the supermarket trolleys leads me to suspect that this is under reported.
    Me with my needing at least triple heart bypass and a replacement heart valve appear to  have nothing to report.

    Some may recall that Kruejoe left his frying pan at SF19. I'll bring it up to Cannock and maybe someone can return it or at least start the game of how far can it travel before SF20

    Thanks to rdtjones looks like I have plenty of choice on ebay.de and at a reasonable price; now for a quick course in German via Google translate. Some of the prices are crazy, 999 Euro for a thermostat I'm sure they don't have in stock, why do they play that game?

    I got quite excited on this as it is half the price, or less, than the ones I have found, but unfortunately it may fit an e30 but probably noy many e28s which have 23.81mm bore cylinders (15/16ths to those like me brought up using proper measurements which ATE must have been using).
    I have been looking for a european source which would avoid high shipping costs, VAT and customs duty, but only second hand so far.
    You might say - rebuild it, but kits aren't available for the later e28 master cylinders and I've seen a post that says they not rebuildable due to the way they are put together, and right hand drive and left hand drive are different.
    So it's nearly £250 and a repetition from Mrs K - "I've  told you many times that you should have sold it"
