I  can't imagine how hard it must have been to try and fire up with a side car in the way, I also have a Planeta and a Jupiter 91 and 92 vintage respectively, I will see if I can drag them out and let you listen to the 2 stroke symphony. As you will know they aren't exactly lightweights and if they start to fall over it's best to let them go rather than being catapulted 10 feet into the air as you try and stop them.

Had to nip into town to go to the bank, so the Honda got it's first proper run out. It held back/bogged down a little under load in second, but also mostly top gear. I don't think it's anything too worrying, but there is definitely (drive) chain slap  when slowing down, so will have to try and adjust it and see about having a new chain or links removed if that doesn't work.

 
The choke is shit, but that's not too much of an issue as can hold it by hand for the few seconds it's needed when cold, but it's over-revving slightly at times, so if not left in gear there's the worry of it lurching forward when first is selected. Left a decent gap between the cars in front when stopped in traffic!

Hello chaps , thought I would share the rebirth of an amazing piece of soviet two stroke bike shite with you, spent a  fair bit of lockdown time, fitting a new loom, left and right switchgear, coil, voltage rectifier, indicator relay and repro rusky indicators. It is a rare old beast in the UK, IZH Springbok 350 single cylinder, ankle breaker to start and so tall that I have to stand on a milk crate to get on it........

This reared it's fantastic little head on a Facebook page yesterday. Turned out it was for sale, turned out it was very fairly priced, turned out to be 15 miles away,  turns out my mate (legit van and man) isn't working today.

Plate non-transferable (a good thing no doubt, as the bike would probably have been skipped ages ago) and the engine is from a 'modern' C90, ditto possibly the forks. Not over keen on the modern handlebars and adornments (throttles and switches)  but they're trivial things. Tbh, not normally a fan of this type of thing in general, but it's such a laugh and the modifications actually (mostly) suit it. 
Might pinch the front plate for my Lambretta as there's no real front 'guard on the Honda. The rear plate is a horrible shiny new one, can you buy old plates with a bit of 'patina' and put the stickers on yourself now? Failing that, I reckon I could make one quite easily.

1st my 1987 MZ ETZ250 was UK registered and not running right so I got it sorted then put it in for testing which it passed and there was manx registered, I got it to commute to work and back on but unfortunately it didn't want to go every time so I swapped it for a Yamaha SR125 fast forward a few years and I found it again and eventually got the chance to buy it back. Top end has been striped down piston is scored so looks like it seized so awaiting attention
My other one is 

A Cossack Voskhod 2 which cost £30 in photos is missing a few parts but I have sourced a complete headlight and the missing left downpipe with lock rings. I have no documents unfortunately and this is also awaiting its turn to be looked at.

I have a Voskhod 2 which i think i have all the parts for now just need to put it together and sort out either a logbook or dating certificate which could be interesting. I haven't seen a voskhod 1 only ever the 2s like mine for sale online. I know they did a 3 aswell.
