  1. PHWOAR. A rare 1982 only colour - @Shite Ronwill know the hue but it was a Cortina hue IIRC. It'll have a brown interior I reckon, but if there's any dialogue possible I wouldn't mind a few bits. Coolant header tank/parcel shelf etc would be useful to start with. No worries if not
  2. Amateur. A lady I was seeing to last year had a nice little desk/laptop set up in her bedroom. She pinned me to the bed and rode me like a rocking horse during one teams meeting. It was quite interesting hearing about her company's projected P&L for the last financial year whilst being mounted. Made a change from The Archers or Loose Women in the background.
  3. Some of these AI generated images are actually very alluring. There’s an 80s version of the Audi A7 going around atm and it looks like an EVEN sexier Raver SD1. Out of interest, what system do you use to make these?
  4. That might be a problem. Only - that hasn't happened, has it? There's that saying about arguing with people on the internet, and I want to make absolutely sure that I don't fall into that trap. You are absolutely obsessed about this detail, and nothing I or anyone else says is going to change your opinion of it. So I wish you every success in your pursuit. Please just remember to be courteous in all of your dealings with people; they are often underpaid and overworked - dealing with shit day in day out. I'm absolutely sure you'll be nothing other than immaculate, patient and polite whilst dealing with people whose priorities and focusses are different to yours.
  5. I'm still lost as to what the problem really is here? Who gets to decide when government documents are issued? Is it the government department responsible for the administration of vehicles in the United Kingdom, or is it one member of the public who happens to be the registered keeper of ONE of the 41 million vehicles currently registered? Honestly dude. I'm lost as to what the problem is here. And I really don't think (unpopular opinion) anyone owes you either an apology or an explanation.
  6. Thanks mate - I think the guy might be a bit too much like 'hard work'. I will speak to him again today but my spidey senses are tingling.
  7. @The Vicar - I would get a ticket now personally. They will always exchange hands nearer the time if it turns out that you can't go. The other thing to do is see if you can cadge a lift with another visitor to the show. It's a decent day out. I really liked it back in 2016 when it was in Northants (Whittlebury) and just a low-key, chilled out thing. It was unrecognisable from the queues and hoards of people it now attracts. I would encourage anyone to go if they've got something 70s-90s. It's a nice crowd and your addition will always be welcomed by someone.
  8. Anyone in Crewe willing to give the sills of this a firm prod? If they put up half a fight I’ll buy it.
  9. Don’t despair - proper Android phones quickly learn what you want, and a swift mute will take care of others. I was going to extol the virtues of Apple; and how their stuff comes deliciously free of bloat. Then, inexplicably, I found myself whistling U2 - Songs of Innocence. As you were…
  10. Well, if you want to turn any avuncular and considered post from me into “whataboutism” then that is up to you. My little pet dog will follow you around and like your posts which will make you feel good. On the other hand - you might take a step back, and see that my message was clearly a concerned one. Yes - a bit of fucking perspective - but concerned. I guess that will mark the conclusion of said concern. Once more. This is a trivial administration issue; not a deliberate act of vandalism. If my V5 came back saying Forde Sierra, I’d give it a little moustache and monocle and drive it to Edwardian days out. Further peace. (And hi, Dicky. Who’s a good boy?) 🐶
  11. Dude - Think yourself lucky that this is the biggest issue in your world right now. You seem to have sufficient awareness to read the room and deduce people are teasing you, but not enough to realise that this ‘issue’ is - at best - trivial. Perhaps a couple of days away from the keyboard might bring new perspectives. This isn’t infant mortality, genocide, famine, civil war or anything else dreadful that is happening right now. It’s an administration error on a government system that has literally zero impact on anyone. Your enthusiasm for these horrid little things is mostly charming. But, sorry to say it, I think you’re on the outskirts of lunacy atm. Maybe take a break - take a breath - you might see it differently. Peace
  12. Too late too late will be the cry, when the man with the bargains has passed you by. Under offer. And what a lovely thing.
  13. Ha gosh. What a palaver. The guy hasn’t started it yet! I dropped it off a year ago. I’ve told him I need it for April (it’s May actually but I know he’ll still be late) but hopefully it’ll be back soon enough. Once the body work’s done, I just need to throw it at a garage and say “do mechanic things” so it works for spring / summer. It needs a bit of fettling but otherwise we should be good.
  14. There is a fantastic downhill stretch on the A41, pretty much all the way from Berkhamsted to the M25. Someone got collared doing 124 there a few years back, and a century is easily achieved; even by a football innocently rolling down the hardshoulder. Anyway, what's the challenge? I get lost in the endless walls of text. If it's how to go from LBF HQ to the FoD, then I'd use the A41 100%. It's quite a pleasant road (lovely in parts) and you'd rarely be in anyone's way bimbling along at 45.
  15. I had an indicated 100 out of the Sierra on the private road which is often mistaken for the A421 between what is easily thought of as Bedford and St Neots but is actually not for legal reasons. As the good captain said: it wasn’t an experience I’d like to repeat. In that car 30mph on the needle is exactly 30 by GPS so god knows what it was, but the poor old car protested by vomiting quite a good measure of its internal fluids and I did the same.
  16. Not sure that’s true, if LBF barrel rolled his at 10mph. Anyway, when is it arriving back in London - and is it ready for even a gentle spin around the block?
  17. Anybody else end up with two? I ordered and complained. They apologised and tried to blame postal strikes (lol). It arrived around two weeks after ordering. Aaaand again last week too. Extreme value.
  18. That exhaust looks almost identical to the full length that I bought for my 1600 pinto hatch. Near enough that, in future, someone would be able to make it work. £150 is fair enough, I think I paid about £120 for mid and tail. Still haven't put it on mind, I'm saving it for best!
  19. You could get those hella grills at the time; I nearly bought one about five years ago when I had that pretty green Sierra. That is, I have to say, a lot of very useful stuff all packed up neatly* in a Sierra shaped shell. If i was a wealthy man, and these cars were still cheap, I would simply buy it and pull all the bits (particularly interior) out that I needed - sell the engine and box and bail the rest. I reckon it's just too far gone, and few people will be interested with 5 doors.
