    Au revoir mon ami!

So BeigeX is going on a trip I would do but can't due to work commitments...

It's already off to Shitefest thanks to KruJoe. Have fun people!

Packed the jumper cables and off I went to the lock up.

With jumpers on, it started without a single whinge. Raised itself nicely pretty much straight away.

Got out and had to quickly get back in because I noticed straight away a first point to put on the 'to do' list before going for MOT.

    Fuel leak.
Comes from just under the drivers seat but I won't see exactly where from until I put it up on axle stands.

Should I just get some fuel pipes or should I find the leak first?

I didn't run it long enough to see anything else...

    Tomorrow - bring axle stands.

    The car arrived.

I stupidly assumed that the guy with the transporter/recovery truck will have jump cables. He didn't. Huffing and puffing and pushing began.
We managed to get it into the lock up.

The car itself. Damn it's beige, it will be even more once thick layer of dust is removed. It seems to be in relatively good nick. The only rust spots I could see are on doors on drivers side.

I'll try to get back to the garage tomorrow after work just to start it up and have a proper look around.

The Fiat is finally back at home with me.  It is now pretty and runs great. Turns stops and all that shit.
It also makes me happy whenever I look at it and that's what's most important, innit.
It is a one of a kind car for me that currently I can't see myself parting with. That will probably change when the seasons change and I see something shiny somewhere.
    Here's the car everyone.

    Good morning.
Thought I might pop in and write something.
F133 is currently in car spa in Poland getting some attention. Unfortunately after closer inspection of the work done in UK by a regarded restorer, I lost any trust in people doing their job right without looking at their hands at every possible opportunity. Quite frankly I was stupid thinking that it can be done properly without me being there.
I am not even going to start listing things that were fucked up, said to be done and plainly made worse.

If you want 126, I suggest you find yourself another one that is not BIS. Especially if you're looking at swapping engines.

Much easier to work on and (I presume) parts availability is considerably better.

126 BIS were always considered a bit of a Frankenstein back in the days in Poland. Not particularly successful example of trying to improve space and performance of a car so that it fits export markets better.

For all you people saying this car is fucking ace get a life it's a Barry boys reject now,   will any of you guys now actually put your hands in your pocket and pay money to own it now I think not, and when you all pipe up and say yes of course i would then I expect a  rush when it appears for sale.
This is not the blue although I do fear some are trying to stear it that way with The can't say anything negative about it comments,   I'm pretty sure the owner can't be worried about negative comments or he wouldn't have painted the fucker neon pink ffs,  if you want to hide in the shadows you certainly don't do this to a motor.

Cudoes for getting into it and having a bash though as it's not an easy task without a garage and plenty time so I appreciate just what you've done and time spent getting it there.

I now fully expect to be bullied into submission for having a different opinion to the changed forumers and be taught that I'm not allowed an opinion unless I agree with others.

Save that pish for a blue forum, man, AS has never been that way.
I'm a big believer in, "don't do something attention-seeking if you can't cope with the attention it creates".

    Update.
Adding another couple of gallons of fuel...simple right up till this happened.

    Which happened because...

The tank is full!  Despite the claims of the gauge, which never moves from the stop.  So either the sender or gauge is duff.  Hopefully the sender as a replacement for that is likely to be far easier to source.
Gauge has never moved here here at all.

With fuel delivery behaving itself and the engine properly up to temperature I was able to tweak the idle down to a slightly more sensible level, think it was sitting at about 1800rpm before.
I did a further experiment a little later, given the carb was now actually accepting fuel...spot the difference?

Yep, she's running on the original fuel pump.  I know from testing that it's weak though so it'll be changed as soon as the replacement arrives.  I wanted the Invacar's pump back for now though!
Speaking of the Invacar, new distributor cap arrived today...albeit not the one I actually ordered!
I got halfway through an order on one of the Fiat specialists before I managed to find one which also had the rotor arm and points in stock.  At which point I abandoned the original one.  Apparently their system glitched however and still marked the order as completed...Have contacted them and they've agreed that returning it would be daft given the costs of shipping it all the way back to Italy, so we've agreed that I just paid the item value and they've refunded the postage - which was one of the reasons I jumped to another supplier as it was expensive compared to others.  Apparently their web store is run by a third party and they've had a heap of problems in the last month.  They were very apologetic.
This meant I had a clear cap to play with though.

Would have been rude to not get some operational photos...

Plus of course slow motion video.
The black one will get installed once it arrives with the new rotor arm, but this will be good for a spare.

Brilliant work Zelandeth and good luck with taking it on.
I am really glad that beige rough diamond project is still going on AS.
It is the epitome of what this forum was all about few years back.
I did fall in love with it at first sight...

A decent wash can make quite a difference.

Bit of moss on the bumpers...

Didn't go crazy under here, just knocked the worst of the gunk off, not least the aluminium oxide dust that was absolutely everywhere.

One of the main water ingress points I reckon was the passenger front window as it had come out of the runners and wasn't closed quite all the way.  The gutters being totally choked so the water was just running straight off the roof into the door seals won't have helped either.
Had a hard time getting her to take fuel again today, think the float valve might be sticking/partly clogged in the carb.
