  1. I finally got something done today that I've been meaning to do for a while:
  2. My idea has slightly more monetisation routes than Stollies and Roadrunners.
  3. Well AMS wasn't exactly doing anything new either, people have been selling barely functional consumer products forever! And he did alright out of it.
  4. I'll tell once it inevitably fails and puts me on the street
  5. After months of kicking stuff about in my head, I think I've found the idea that'll make me £lotsamoney. Or at least give me the opportunity to spend investors money trying!
  6. It was MsReb's birthday yesterday. I am very slightly* hungover now.
  7. I spotted a Toyota Corolla Hybrid PH car today:
  8. I now have a drum kit in my unit thanks to RetroShite, I haven't played since I was at school and it's every bit as difficult as I remember.
  9. I have a honda PC50 outside my house, it's barely capable of propelling my 11st frame up to 20mph. It does get there surprisingly quickly though! I lack the license to ride it on the road, and I doubt it'd make it up the hill to my house from town anyway, so I just ride it endlessly back and forward along the farm track that leads to my house from the road. Surprisingly good fun.
  10. Well, that ended up taking longer than planned... It feels like this car just doesn't want to be fixed! Stripped threads galore among other annoyances. I was busy with work too, then the fallout of trying to off myself didn't help much either. I've not had much chance to work on it this year so far due to the lack of viable transport to get me to the unit. @AnnoyingPentiumand @Lacquer Peelvisited the other day and we set about doing everything we could to get it mechanically sound. In terms of being drivable, it's nearly there! There's just the small matter of the keys having gone missing, which prevented us from putting the wheels on after fitting the hubs as the steering is locked on the piss. I think a new lockset is in order. Other than that the main thing needed now is to sort the electrical gremlins, which I'm not really looking forward to. Much thanks to both AP and LP for putting up with my constant refrain of "I fucking hate cars, I'll just scrap the bastard".
  11. if that's a delta shaped junction (I don't know the proper name for them) then he's using it wrong!
  12. I nearly bought a 406 HDI Estate back in 2019, it was up for £950 with a full MOT. Ended up buying a C2 GT for £300 instead. Would have been a bargain if it hadn't rotted its sills out within 2 years. I probably had more short term fun with the C2 but the 406 would have been more fun with an HDI Tuning remap. Would have been more comfortable to sleep in too.
  13. The story I heard was that when they turned up at the factory to pick up the shells they didn't have any saloon shells ready, so they just took some estates instead.
  14. Went to see the Volvo for the first time since the day after the crash in October, it's been at a mate's yard since the police released it. It took it well, and I think I was probably going slower at the point of impact with the wall than I'd remembered. I was not in a good way mentally that day and there's lots of gaps in my memory. Should be allowed to drive again quite soon after being released from hospital nearly 3 months ago. We're taking it up to my house this afternoon, I'll be able to potter away doing bits and pieces over the next few weeks.

  16. I can now confirm riding a fucked old 50cc moped with a wobbly front wheel and a blowing exhaust at WOT up and down farm tracks is, put simply, fucking hilarious. Video to follow.
  17. My 850 has memory seats, I have all 3 set for myself but different moods. From bolt upright to almost horizontal*, handy to be able to adjust both the back and base at the same time. *not so far back I can't see around me or operate the controls, before anyone starts.
