Apparently having my house number on the door with a foot tall fluorescent yellow number isn't enough for one of our local amazon drivers, as for the second time recently he's stuck my order through my upstairs neighbours door. Secondary grump for the fact that my neighbour came home, presumably noticed this, and didn't stick it through my door before they went out again.

Funnily enough caffeine tablets are the only "medicine" that I buy the branded version of; pro plus is a lovely shiny thing that's easy to swallow, the cheap ones are awful chalky pucks that start to dissolve in your mouth and get stuck and taste foul.

Today I'm going to sit in my mum's kitchen to bash out some work on a project that I've been putting off. Cheaper and quieter than Costa, while still not having the wealth of distractions featured in my own house. Of course, I forgot that the bus times are completely different on a Sunday which has knackered my schedule for the day. Oh well.

I can't remember which town/city it is, but there's somewhere that when they were doing regeneration/redevelopment, named the street with police HQ on it Letsby Avenue

£10k Ideal vehicle build dream thread - what would YOU build?

Probably a simpler swap too. But I don't already have one so it'd take more of the budget! -

A Volvo 245 with a 2.5 TDI stuffed in it, with the pump wound up. I can't decide if it should be hearing aid beige or metallic midnight purple. -
It's my last day being 27. Which means unless something goes horribly wrong in the next 12 hours, I have avoided joining the 27 club. I suppose I'd better start planning for the future eh?

Oh, and I've quit smoking. Hopefully for good this time.

I bought lottery tickets for the first time in a month. Didn't win. Why is this a grin? Because it means I'll have to try and acquire vast sums of cash the fun way. If it was just handed to me I'd probably end up dead in a ditch by 30. All the parts of my so called plan are slotting into place. The aim isn't even money, just to do something interesting!

After having nobody living upstairs for more than 2 out of the 5 years I've lived here, new neighbours are moving in today. They seem nice, which is good because the last guy was an arsehole.

A calligraphy artist I follow on social media has opened their new years commissions, their smallest/simplest option just squeaks in under the budget I have left after buying a bunch of video production stuff. I decided that it was a good time to support them and get a present for my mum too. When she found out it was for my mum she offered to do the next size up, and add an embellished border, for the same price! Once I'm less skint I'll definitely be buying from them again! Their "stock" art is mostly rude words in ludicrously fancy script, so if anyone is in the market for such a thing let me know and I'll send you a link to their store!

I went down to the village hall for Hogmanay, of all the people I could have ended up next to it was a retired Software Auditor from Microsoft! We had a good long chat about all manner of shite. Good night, now I'm knackered, so goodnight! Happy new year everybody!

Spent the whole day trying to get the meds that make my brain work having run out of them over a week ago. This involved going to 3 different pharmacies and the doctor's office. It turns out that my consultant changing the dosage after I'd already ordered them for the month made the system shit itself. Add into that an international shortage (caused by a baffling decision by the DEA in the US to bring in regulations to reduce production below demand of all things) and it's all been rather stressful. All sorted now though. Now I've ordered a pizza to celebrate not getting *too* pissed off while navigating it all. Sorry to the people I snapped at for staring me down while forcing me to walk on a busy main road instead of not walking 3 abreast for a second.

Everything about a mk5 Fiesta. When I bought my one I quite rapidly found out I just don't fit in them. None of the controls were where I could comfortably reach them. And the heated windscreen was surely a novelty when new but mine didn't work and it gave me eye strain focussing past the wires. Also bolting the emergency jack to the floor is irritating when it hasn't been used in 15 years and it's seized solid leaving you stranded at the side of the road in the dark. It's the only car I've owned I don't have fond memories of.

Does anyone have a link for the Zoom? I pm'd Chris but no reply as yet. -
I've stopped smoking cigarettes, but have a touch under 100g of Duty Free Drum left. So... Who's to say I can't have a sunday morning pipe?

Some cunt moved my wheelie bin. How do I know? I walked confidently out my front door in the pitch dark and walked into it bollocks first.

The electric grid in my area has done an FTP. Absolutely fucking marvellous! Not like I was using a shitty space heater to stay warm while I wait for heating oil or anything, is it?

It snowing has rather wonderfully coincided with running out of heating oil. Turns out 2 bars = fuck all. Thought I had another week in it still, it's still showing 2 bars despite no hot water or heating. Brrrrr.
