I am thrilled to have won this and will be collecting it a fortnight from today.
Sadly I don't have the skill to do live updates, but will bang on a big post with lots of pics of cars, folk, trains, buses and pies when I get home.
The fair wife appeared to be slowly coming round...
I took her out for a conciliatory drink this evening and out of the blue, a lurker on here called sofarsogood, introduced himself and asked if we were celebrating out win!
This was actually a big help, she is seriously over it now and I suspect looking forward to its arrival.

Apart from the smokey smell (anyone recommend a good product to get rid of the fag smell?) it seems a good un. Left a dipper and pick it up in a few days.

I’ve not had any luck with the doors as the owner is now not accepting offers on the doors and wants £20 each for them plus I’ve got to find a big hatchback or estate car to collect them.
 
But I did manage to use the 55% GSF code today though and for £24 I got my filters oil and rear pads as I’ve a lazy Caliper which hopefully should free out.

A G/H series (73-75 impact bumper) 2.7 is a rare thing now. The K Jet motor with 175 bhp was brisk, tractable and good on fuel. The 150 bhp base 911 wasn't shabby as they weigh bugger all. Restoring it to be a mint Zermatt silver slim body H Series 1975 911S, with or without the chrome bezel US lights is a fine plan. I'd personally colour change it to Viper green with SC rear wings, wider rear Fuchs and the RS ducktail so that it resembles the 1974/5 Carrera 2.7, the rare impact bumper car with all the 2.7 RS running gear (2.7 mechanical injection 210 bhp, RS suspension and brakes) but without the Classic and Sportscar Investment Look How Rich I Am connotations.
 
It was built with impact bumpers, that's how these should stay. It's as bad as wankers fitting Mark 1 Mini rear lights and grille to a later car. Just No.
