Friends I knew through the Maestro Club used to own this. Here's a picture of it 18 years ago, doing it's thing at Mallory Park.

Until you realize that it will outlive any LR product, not use much more fuel, offer more space, similar conveniences and significantly lower cost of ownership due to its simple and robust nature. This is one of those vehicles that can live half a century if you service the gearbox once every 100k miles while keeping the rust at bay. The only downside I see is a cheap looking dashboard.

This would be in Toyota's Greatest Hits in my opinion. This one is £7k but unfortunately the seller ticked the 'AI Garbage' option so there is no useful information.

I know AutoShite has turned into a sort of woke fest, but FFS, let's get back to the old days...

Heated grips, gamechanger. As it happens you can get cheap Chinese versions of them too.

But don't, decent Oxford hot grips are 40 quid and reliable, you can also get heated clothing, which is an even bigger game changer.

I did the chinese 125 thing for a year before my full test just so I could get a taste of on road motorcycling before spending the money on a full test. I now have had my full license for 2 years and sold the 125 for a profit. 125's are ok around town but a bit scary when you pull off a slip road at 50 with a HGV starting to catch you up as you slowly wind up to 65+.
I tended to stick to the back lanes but it kind of limits you if you want to make a bigger trip. That said I did enjoy my 125 it was still fun.

I’m legal!
Only did probably 6-7 miles but it went fine. I think the throttle needs adjusting or maybe even changing to a quick action one as its bloody long, have to twist your hand right round. Not like any bike I’ve ridden before.
It’s surprisingly loud, does the odd pop when letting off too.

Good luck to whoever bought it, it's not for me to comment on how much they paid. That flannel about the spares looks a bit daft to be honest, and as for another set of wheels so the originals don't bear the weight, well that's fucking crackers.

I thought it was below the £1 mark then it spiked to £1.40 in 2013 ish, then down to 99p in 2015 ish then upwards from there..?
I'll have to consult my giffer style book where I have hand written every single fuel transaction, comprising of the price per litre, tank to tank mileage and date since about 2005 I think 😅

sofarsogood got a reaction from DoctorRetro in Wheel trims - The Good, The Bad and the downright Shocking
Citroen BX have a strong style of wheel trims. I actually like most on here so far except the aftermarket ones. Maybe this tread could evolve to include "trims you thought were alloys" type thread. A couple of examples here have caught me out.

sofarsogood reacted to Asimo in Wheel trims - The Good, The Bad and the downright Shocking
I’m more of a hubcap guy, but these trims transformed my E28 compared to the ‘caps.
There was/is a set of these displayed in the Victoria & Albert museum…
But these things on LTI London cabs are just the absolute pits. Inexcusably shit.
