  1. Toy fair this morning... Bundle for (I think) too expensive £10. Strange plastic hollow Elan Corgi Elan not bad except no steering wheel Corgi Camaro broken screen and no wheels but pretty good otherwise Beach buggy roof with surfboards and trailer will give Mrs Concern another complete set plus kayak because she likes them! Bundle for £1 as I thought @eddyramrod might want the Dinky Bedford CF (no pressure if you don't!). These were 50p each. Morris van in case @eddyramrod wants it Embassy speed boat and transporter for Mrs Concern, she has the boat already in better condition so will get swapped around I expect Corgi probe for parts Chipperfields trailer and some lookalike animals just because Corgi Rozzer Commer as I saw a back for one on my way around the room earlier, but annoyingly I couldn't find it later! The tank transporter wheels given free from the same seller I bought a £1 transporter from a few weeks ago. He had thought he had another set for my mate Ed, but unfortunately he couldn't find them, said hed look out for some more though. £1 each for these Corgi Human Cannonball (human missing) Enormous Dinky Transit for @eddyramrod if you want it again no pressure as I'm happy to keep it. Corgi Lazybones Stingray in not bad condition and good suspension, much better than my childhood one so I couldn't leave it even though I don't especially want it Corgi Lambo, probably I can combine with another one I have and repaint Corgi Whizzwheels Land Rover in pretty good condition, even has the spare wheel still Matchbox Speed Kings Javelin in black, this is funny as I got a red one recently not knowing it existed and @bunglebusthen pointed out other colours like this which I then wanted and here we are! These were £2 each Corgi Big Bedford with better paint than the one I have, missing tow hitch thing but still Corgi Rozzer Cortina not too bad broken rear screen and cracked A pillar @eddyramrod? Norev Horizon Solido Renault Alpine These are really quite nice So many French toys are really nice and not that common, I'd hoped to go to France last year but it didn't happen hoping again this year. Talking of French toys, heres one I've never seen and managed to knock down to a slightly better price of £15 I love the C4 VTS and have had three 1/1 (I still have one on SORN) and yes I know this is a Loeb version, but even though it doesn't say so (as far as I can see) the exhaust looks like VTS one. I had similar black wheels on mine too!
  2. Quite liking this bloke and picked this vid as I have a C30
  3. I may have spare Golden Jacks one without wheels, but not 100% sure I'll have to check.
  4. Haha! You know me so well it seems... I alteady have a spare Golden Jacks Marcos and some suitable Mini Whizzwheels to make blue version. I also have all the other cars in those colours.
  5. Mini Marcos if no one else has nabbed it plz @Datsuncog
  6. Do you want the Lotus as well or just the trailer? I think Van Cleemput says something about different drivers, not sure he points out they are different mouldings. Either way thanks for the info since if he does or not say I didn't know that!
  7. I picked up a load of shite tat (tatty shite?) in Hastings today mostly for parts, but some were interesting Corgi JPS Lotus (missing air intake) and trailer boith £1 at different junk shops Strange Europa with something missing from rear deck A bit of research suggests JUJ like this (only shite) I like it! A Bburago 900 Turbo I also like Revell metal A4 bought for the wheels, but in pretty good nick only missing a door mirror. Never heard of Revell metal before! Smashed up Nurev plastic DS19 missing the front bumper/grille. Broken rear bumper This 1/43 Trans Am which seems unusual in 1/43 scale so I'll keep it In pretty good shape No idea what make it is and couldn't find out with a quick search on t'net. Funny all the talk of Dinky & Matchbox Fire engines as I also picked up this Corgi version All procured for the wheels!
  8. Exciting stuff and looking good @eddyramrod fingers crossed fo more tomorrow!
  9. I'm holding that hostage until you tell me haha!
  10. I've just had a proper look at this and I still have no idea what you are planning to do with the Corgi Kew Fargo and Carrimore transporter. Also is that the P6 that had no screen pillars? All looking great! The scene looks very like the village in Kent where my mum lives. I think I'd say that whoever drew that picture has never seen a MK3 Cortina! That first one went very grey didn't it, even the underwater one came up better than that! That was a great idea to use the helmet for the clowns hat, wish I'd thought of that! I have made the hat though, I used a bit of plastic cocktail stick for the missing bit of hand/arm, then the rim of the hat is plasticard with a piece of sprue stuck on it filed and filled. I printed the stickers, stuck cellotape over and cut out, will do for now. I've just realised the clown has to go through the hole from the bottom and his arms will have to bend quite a lot to do it, not looking forward to that at all! Despite the build quality, that's the first Dinky Range Rover I've seen where the lower tailgate doesn't drop open all the time! I love that 205, I'm really starting to like Norev a lot. That Hiace is lovely and the interior plus all the equipment really make it appealing, obviously it would be all for nothing if your build was anything short of superb! A bit of thread drift, but years ago my uncle had a Hiace and my dad persuaded him it was pronounced HI AR CHI. It would be even funnier if I knew how it is pronounced!
  11. Laugh for the bin lid not for fabulous work as it is! Anyway spurred on by the gauntlet being thrown down and challenge made, test of mettle etc etc. by @danthecapriman & @eddyramrod showing their projects in progress, I'll deviate from only showing completed Fake Corgis for a change. I had a bit of a spray session with red paint the other day, three of them (Corgi T-Bird, Corgi E Type & Dinky Ferrari I decided to try painting without taking them apart which involved a lot of masking in several sessions, which meant I forgot to mask the headlights on the Jag (Doh!). The Chipperfields Corgi Land Rover had the chimp attached with a huge glue bomb This is the aquatic Land Rover found by @155V6 and here are the clown and chimp I've managed to get most of the glue off, stuck the chimps foot back on, grafted on new loudspeakes I picked up from a toy fair for £1 and painted blue with Mrs Concern's acrylic paints and now need to make a new hat for the clown to hold aloft. The marathon masking session turned out ok, I scraped the paint off the Jag lights and tooth pasted them back to life ok. Some of the white paint came off the lower half of the Dino when I removed the masking tape, now touched in and the seats on the T-Bird touched up using Mrs Concern's acrylics again. Quite a good match using Ochre witha touch of white. These two Corgis have swapped bases as I'm making a Golden Jacks Firebird and a Whizzwheels Camaro. While researching for these, I found this on a site I first saw linked by @flat4alfa http://corgitoys.free.fr/English/CORGI_343_Pontiac_Firebird_Take-Off.htm and this chap as well as swapping the base cut out the name and grafted it in So obviously I had to do that as well, but being a cheap skate I wanted to keep both cars (I believe the author scrapped one). I'm not sure if I will remove the boot spoiler on the Firebird as I really like the look of it. Really I know I should as I want it to look as it does in the Corgi Catalogue. You may remember I made a Whizzwheels Corgi C3 Lazybones, but the decals couldn't be seen due to the paint being too dark? OK maybe not! Well I've repainted it in a decal freindly colour and just needs to be assembled. Also painted the correct Jensen door yellow. Lastly i have referred to Mrs Concern working on a Corgi Tram to replicate the one in Meet Me In St Loius She (and I) thought she'd just be painting a model tram and making a little Judy Garland to sit in it. Unfortunately Vincent Minelli had the props Dept make a mock up trolley that couldn't possibly work as it has the driver at one end only and two spiral staircases at the other! Consequentley Mrs Concern has scratch built two stair cases and numerous other parts at least twice and is still working on it! I'm now being held up by my unwillingness to concentrate on completing a huge Steve Flowers order!
  12. See if you can spot my silly mistake on this re paint Haha
  13. That's all looking great! I don't know how you get on with it so quickly...
  14. Picked these up for £1 each in a junk shop. The Maisto Merc SL is actually mint if anyone wants it, I only want to take the wheels! The two Pugs are lovely, Norev Jet Car 504 and Solido 505 These are also mint, but I'll keep them!
  15. I've seen it before in Snoopers, but I've only just recently got a couple of plastic Norevs and found I really like them! Having looked on ebay the price doesn't seem bad and I know from experience that Snoopers won't usually do discount on anything under £10 no matter what you say. The toy shop that has old tat is in Trafalgar St (North Laine) and called The Play House. The charity shop is Chesnut Tree House in London Road.
  16. In Brighton today Junk shop find for Mrs Concern, says Buddy on the base, no idea what it is but it's cute Market stall £5 Corgi Jag Mk1 I got a repainted one last week and was thinking I should repaint it in the same lemon colour as I like it, but now I can do it any colour and keep this Last time I was in Brighton a chap in a tpy shop told me of charity shop that has tat cheap, I asked him again today as I couldn't remember where, he told me but said he went there yesterday and it was "slim pickins" so I didn't expect much. I got a couple of small ones for 50p each to rob parts off and gthen found this in the plastic toys box for £1 All intact including glazing! Also got this as I know @bunglebus likes any Beetle stuff, you probably already have several haha Don't worry if you don't want it! Edit; I forgot to say I saw this in Snoopers, I've never seen it before also this Panhard anyone know what model it is? Edit again; I think the Panhard is a Norev like this I wish I'd bought it now...
  17. I have a NewRay about 1/32 I think I have a yellow one too
  18. Yes please to Corgi Circus cage @Datsuncog also Lesney Prefect plz Mrs Concern asked me to look out for a Prefect as her dad had one, known as Willy!
  19. If it's there next week, then yes please Funny I saw a cheap trailer at the last toy fair, but didn't bother as I thought I'd never see the cage!
  20. As you know @eddyramrod I find the scale comparison of these very interesting so thanks for sharing that. Obviously I rushed off to see what Van the man Cleemput says about the Corgis Aston DB4 1/46 Citroen ID 19 Safari 1/48 Dodge Kew Fargo 1/56 (!) Marina 1/43 Maybe someone (@flat4alfa) will be along later with more info?
  21. I may want rid at some point and if will let you know. I still haven't plucked up the courage to try taking the roof off. That Renault Alpine is lovely! I'm so glad they've arrived I was getting worried as that's a week now! Interesting that the Beetle is Tomte, it is just the same colour as the DS I picked up yesterday (by the way I blame you for that as until recently I'd never heard of Galantines or Tomte haha) and I thought it strange that the Cougar was so much smaller scale than the Beetle, now we know why! Also thanks for the heads up on the ebay thread @bunglebus I bid on a couple you tagged me in, but only won this Siku trailer... very nice especially as it does this... Mrs Concern particularly likes the curtains! I let her have it even though her birthday isn't until September! I forgot to mention I got a Scalextrics (or however you spell it) tyre yesterday, you can just see it on my first picture lurking under the repro Corgi Chipperfields Lions. Anyway I have a 50p from boot fair Bburago Citroen C4 missing a tyre as well as spoiler and rear lights. I'm pretty sure I can make the body bits, but was stumped for a tyre so I hunted through some at the toy fair and tried to buy one for the stated 10p and the chap refused money so I was doubly pleased when it actually fitted! It's the rear one here and if you look close it doesn't have the lettering however I'm really pleased as it's all legal with plenty of tread.
  22. I like the Caper Cart too, what plain versions are there of that?
