  1. Ewww reisty! I use TFR and a jetwash. Unbolt the seats, take the carpet out. Spray with TFR and between the lot until the water runs clear.
  2. Possibly... I have several doors from various cars. I'll take a look in them. As usual though, if you want a quick and efficient service you won't be getting it here! Remind me in a couple of days if I haven't got back to you!
  3. What is a Vauxhall anyway? Just some rebadged GM shite, so not entirely unlike this abomination. One random please.
  4. Surely that Ford stuff is too cheap? Check eBay sold listings
  5. Oh and yes you may have a gallon or two in the tank but the pick up is at the front of the tank so if you go up any steep hills it will just suck air. Scruffy Bodger's sister found this out recently...
  6. Yes, but you don't want the car taken first without questions being asked. Even if it was all some kind of mix up I can guarantee you would still be stuck with the removal and storage fees and possible damage whilst in storage. What needs to happen is have the legal technicalities sorted out first BEFORE the car is taken.
  7. [quote name="SierraMikeHotel" post="1764522" timestamp="1551959964" Let's keep the police-bashing to a minimum too, shall we? I'm getting a bit sick of it. Nobody is bashing the police. I state fact and reality. Sorry but it is not exactly unknown for the police to try to force their wills and opinions on the public and claim its law. This happens a lot. The police are the same as any organisation. There are good guys are there are cunts. You have to be fully prepared for when you meet the cunts as they are not just cunts in this instance but cunts with the law on their side and other cunts ready to back them up.
  8. All I can add to this is to keep the car hidden away until this is resolved. It would be so easy for the police to arrange recovery of it, only for it and your money to disappear into the system. Oh and get legal advice. Don't give in if the cops try and bully you. You can get 15 minutes of free advice from a solicitor.
  9. I had a ZX that locked me out. 5 am. With the engine running. In the frost. With the house door locked and the keys in the ZX ignition. Had to rummage round in a flower bed until I found a stone large enough to break a window then drive 40 miles to work with filthy hands. Great start to the day... Email me a list of bits, got loads left
  10. Yes, it usually only happens on really cold mornings but my latest one does it all the time. Not had chance to look at it yet. You should put it on the 'ZXs of Autoshite' thread
  11. Also, you probably already know this, but keep a couple of bungees in it...
  12. Excellent purchase! I have a ZX fetish too... Can't quite see which carpets that ZX has but some are horrible to clean. It's easier to take it out and jetwash it than spend hours hoovering and scrubbing it!
  13. £194 is below scrap money... £70 cat on these...
  14. Many thanks for the replies but I have just picked up a boat trailer locally off Freecycle. It's for moving my unfeasably heavy 1960s compressor. I'm going to make it so it is part of the trailer and easily movable in future
  15. I did one on my Xantia. Knocked round with a hammer and chisel. Took a while though. There is a special tool available.
