Went to the Wirral classic car show today. Only took one picture. Not because there wasn’t a really good range of chod there, there was - it was a lovely show! But it was busy, very busy. Took 45 mins to escape the car park! It was also Chumly/Cholmondoerlingerly today… totally missed that!

No it’s mostly 60mph limit with average speed, still fun. Especially in something underpowered! Last time I went up I ended up disputing a photoshoot of some kind of super car with my Saab 9000… They kept trying to get me out of shot 😂

I bought a house on a new build estate, and the road was brick paved on the ends (some kind of stylistic device. When they needed to dig that up, they took up a certain amount of bricks, did the work, and then replaced the bricks with a patch of black tarmac in between the bricks.

IIRC… one of the Official Monster Raving Loony party’s policies is that the roads would have to pass an MoT each year just like cars do. Which is not as loony as it should be!

Selling my MG is turning out to be a bit of a pain in the arse with Facetwat Muppetplace buyers being true to form. Of the three serious enquiries (ones that have gone about the “best price mate, give you £200 tonite mate” bridge. 1) Made arrangements to view, arrived, viewed, and explained that it wasn’t as nice as the other one he had viewed, then told me that the other one he had viewed was £6k and a minter. This one is £2.5k so never going to be as nice, I explain. I’ll call you, he never does. 2) contacts me, asks normal questions, we even talk on the phone. He asks me to hold it for him, he’s definitely going to have it. Even offers a deposit (which I should have taken). Perfect buying story behind wanting it… arranged to come 4pm Thursday. So I arrange a quick exit from work, only to get a message at lunchtime to say he’s not coming… he’s found another one he wants instead. 3) Asks sensible sounding questions, writes in full sentences, arranges to come today about 6pm… he says he’ll text me in the morning to confirm times. At 3pm I text him. Oh sorry; don’t want to come today as it’s raining. But it’s bone dry here I tell him…. Silence ensues. Strewth…
