Bit of a long shot, but would anyone like a non-MoT'd V8 75? The sills probably need a tickle and the rear subframe is a risk. I've done all the other expensive bits to it. Runs fine, has LPG.

They seem to go for 7-8k in decent MoT'd condition, mine isn't decent or MoT'd so I'm open to offers for less then half that. Just need it shifted tbh, I've got too many cars.

Did this ever sell do you know?

  2. Just to update this for the last time. Clean sheet on the mot a few weeks back.

I just wanted to say a big thanks to all that helped me on this. Plasticvandan, Ray, Eddie,Mally, Bub and sorry if i missed any others. Without your help i could'nt have got stuff sorted on this. Big thanks. As they say on the two Ronnies, Its good night from me, and its goodnight from him.

  3. I'm not sure when it happened, but my understanding is that the Model 70 spec did later include a roll bar, presumably in light of all the safety woes. Typical really. People express concerns about the vehicles falling over? Well, don't fix the problem but fit a roll bar so they are less hideously injured instead.

Neither TWC nor TPA have a roll bar as far as I remember, so it's my guess that the change came in 1974 or 1975, when the campaign against them was reaching fever pitch. I find it slightly odd that they weren't retro-fitted to earlier ones.

Do they have seat belts? My Rialto has a bar like this that the seatbelt is mounted to.

  4. This has just popped up on facebook, may be old news..

In China, article said they have to be registered in China first to get sent back. Reregistered and have the emissions re-check to uk standards as their is different. Not really worth doing

Wonder if they would do a raffle? Well up for that. They even have dealer showplates on. WANT.

  5. I am taking the VP to Bognor tomorrow to have a manual gearbox conversion and check over before it returns to the road. My friend who owns the trailer volunteered that I could park the loaded ensemble on his drive overnight as it is the end of cul-de-sac while mine is reversing from a 50 mph road not to far from a blind crest.

Funny thing since he made the offer he has a viewing on his house this afternoon and made me park the Allegro round the corner until his prospective house buyers have been and gone!

Would have sold the house it that was on the drive :)
