No sound deadening in the roof of the B7 Passat, cheap bastards, sounded like you were in a corrugated shed when it rained.
Having owned a b7 since June I’ve never noticed this. I just know I’m going to regret reading this until I sell it now 🙈
thanks 🤣

There was a 205 GTi at Goodwood looking at first glance immaculate but @Frazspotted loads of filler under the paint.
Suffice to say I never noticed...
£30,000 they wanted too!

I’ve been trawling through gumtree and fb marketplace for a cheap sub £1500 car recently and I’m really struggling with the morons.
The way the cheap car market is at the moment it appears there’s no haggling, things sell within an hour or two and if you’re not quick to message you don’t even get a reply.
The only stuff I’ve really had a reply from is cars which have problems and require repair and don’t sell as quick. Even there the price is higher than it should be (IMHO)

So, after fitting both seats it’s confirmed. It’s abit tight.
After a conversation with a mate who had a mk4 mondeo with three kids. The difference is the isofix seats. They hold the seat in the centre too much leaving too little room for a middle one to not be squashed.

I have some of the smallest you can buy
-
It’s not really the size of the kids. It’s the size of the seats for the two younger ones.
it doesn’t work

They seem to be fetching top money lately so might be worth cashing in. Depends how old your kids are but I’ve fitted 3 in the back of mine no problem.
Ones 8, the other 2 and a new one will be appearing in April. I’ve been testing the seats in the car and just dont seem to have any room for the bigger one in the middle. I’m kinda surprised by how tight it is.
Prices are pretty decent for them at the minute but on the flip side, everything else is expensive.

Well. Unless I can magic up more space across the rear seats my mk4 might be getting sold soon.
I need something with space for three kids across the back seat 🫣

I'd bin those mcGard locking nuts whilst the key made of chocolate will still undo them.
Been using mcguard stuff for years and never had an issue. It’s the other stuff I’ve always found to break.

I’ve been considering selling mine recently however when it comes to it, I can’t find anything else I actually want. The mondeo is such a good all round car for what I do just now. I suspect it’s going to stay.

I tried the holts headlight kit on the Passat and want over the moon with the finish.
Was it the sonax polish, or sealer you used that made such a difference?
