try using the a/c on fully hot when you get a chance as that helps dry out any dampmess in the system -
DO NOT USE JUBILEE CLIPS ON A DIESEL FUEL SYSTEM! they do not clamp "round" so can/will let air in- go look up "dr diesel" problem pages from diesel car mag fron the '90s

if it's not too late may i suggest 2 BL/austin rover colours to look at cashmere gold- almost B&H colour (1984ish) shantung gold- slightly less gold than cashmere which it replaced -

early sierrors used flat tinacorner type keys then they swapped (with much hoohar) to tibbe embarrasingly a "thief" broke into the later lock faster than the old one the chubb keys were granada 3 -
