Jazoli got a reaction from dean36014 in LightBulbFun's Invacar & general ramble thread, index on page 1, survivors lists on Pages 24/134 & AdgeCutler's Invacar Mk12 Restoration from Page 186 onwards, still harping on...
I still can't believe this is still going on
Pay a man to pick up your invacare
Drop it at one of the suggested garages
Pay the bill and pick it up when it's "roadworthy"
Take it for a drive, scare yourself shitless, probably end up running into the back of someone and then realise that the dozens of people who have offered you advice and help were right all along,
It's never going to be fit to drive to fod or whatever
It's not fit to drive in modern traffic
Your not fit enough to drive it
You and it will be a total liability
Grow up, stop dreamin, make some adult choices and get on with your funking life, you seem inable to ask direct questions and pick up the phone, any reasonable person would have sorted this at least a year ago
Then just buy a car, several brilliant ones (not taxis) have been suggested on here but you don't even bother replying to the most sensible posts which will give you the mobility you obviously want and then this constant spinning merry-go-round will finally end.

I may have missed a response to this amongst all the issues about whether the carb given to Red5 was rubbish or not, why arranging a replacement took so long and why it was so 'difficult' but doesn't this post address the key issue, given that no other vehicle, whether a taxi, WAV, stretch limo or whatever will ever be bought? It's just like 'Groundhog Day' despite some, in my opinion, really good suggestions by others on here.

    Range Rovers really are great.

As per usual the wiper linkage has popped off in the centre.

    Broken blades check.

    Bent arm check

    Great

Some of those repair clips were ordered last night from bezos along with a pair of new blades, so if that is it resolved then not a terribly expensive if not inconvenient thing.

Of course I will be doing this in the dark.

Total cost of pain to date. £134

    Battery £110
    Wiper blades £20
    Linkage clips £4

In theory, yes. It’s 14 mins from me.

However, truthfully I’d only be willing to do it when you’re at the point of everything being in place and you are committing to buying subject to me glancing at it for you. I’m currently signed off work with anxiety and don’t need the hassle of it just for the sake of it as you of course have had the opportunity countless times to buy something and it’s yet to materialise.

Extremely unlikely, £870 sounds fantastic as a first car with no NCB. I’m really surprised it’s that cheap to be honest. Up to you if you call and ask but I can’t see it happening. Flux/Sterling work on the comparison sites so see where they are on the list, it’ll give you a good idea as the price over the phone will be similar.

Although I’d be eternally grateful for everything you’ve had done, il put myself out on a limb here and say if you genuinely have heard as little as you say you have, I’d be at the point now where I’d be concerned, it’s been a hell of a long time in total, I personally think it’s time to call it a day and organise collection of REV regardless of what state it’s in.
That aside, whenever you eventually get it back, I still put money on the fact you absolutely will not be ‘running about’ in the Invacar and will still need something like the Kangoo. I do however understand clearly now that until you see first hand, you’ll never listen to any of us so the sooner that happens, the sooner you’ll buy something like the one I’ve linked!

If all you want is your invacar, use the 2 grand you've got for a kangoo and insurance to get it lifted from Worcester and fixed,or,as.its only 10 miles away from them, get reliantspares in Cradley to fetch it,fix it and mot it,and deliver it back to you,you pay him and he will do it,three wheeler and classic specialist, even had a mk12 c.15 years ago.

Some cunt has driven into my car and smashed the front grill, headlamp brackets and scuffed the bumper and fucked off, utter wankers, it might be a 13 year old Passat but it was genuinely immaculate.
It happens to every car I own, the joy of parking in a public car park at work, I've managed to get new parts ordered for under £150 but I'm still pissed off, seems pointless trying to keep everything nice.

I'll put a shiny two pound coin to say he'll never buy anything at all as a normal car suitable for 99.9% of the population (including those with specific needs) isn't good enough and the fantasy will continue to play out.

Yup, forecasting is not and has never been a precise art, its like when it says 100% chance of snow, what it means is there are 100% chance it will snow *somewhere* within a given radius.

That's shite about the Passat especially as it was minted beforehand. People are thick and selfish, in the main
That's one of the reason I like running cars that are around 20 years old as mainline breakers and ebay still have plenty of parts in stock at cheap prices. Sod paying a grand for a new headlamp on a 3 year old BMW or something (or take the inevitable increased insurance premiums of you go that route).

It won't matter, there's dozens and dozens of people who come and go all day every day, plus a hundred or so members of the public who also use the car park, I'd have better odds buying a lottery ticket than speaking with someone who may have done it, the car park was an ice rink today so I'm not surprised it has happened but still a cunts trick but part of car ownership I've begrudgingly accepted.

Nope, I manage the carpark and all the buildings next to it, if there was cctv I'd be all over it, its probably one of my cunting colleagues that have done it.

When it first started doing it, I moved the coil from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2 and the misfire stayed on 1.
I guess all the coils could be marginal in a way that only shows up on #1, I am going to try another set of coils when I have my mates TT here to do the walnut blasting.
It would be sensible to change the coils and plugs as a precaution but it's £100+ of parts.
