how did you manage to roll the invacare at 10mph btw?

Agree on 'everyone is free to be enthusiastic' but why should the forum be a safe space? for you or anyone? Forums are like pubs, most folk are ok but there are some cunts and dickheads also, if you don't like the atmosphere or general consensus it's your problem, not everyone else's to make you feel 'safe'  probably best to take yourself out of the equation if it upsets you too much that others have different opinions to yours.

I did this once or twice in my old S13 200SX
it was an actual 157mph as it was hitting the rev limiter and wouldn't go any quicker,  not bad for a home modified CA18DET which didn't ruin its bottom end shells.
Probably 25 years ago now thinking about it and have never been as quick in a car since, my old Hayabusa would show over 200mph flat out in top, it was only doing around 180mph in reality.

As so often happens (in fact monthly!) I've been at the Lakeland Motor Museum this morning, schmoozing and trying to flog off some spare diecasts, Haynes books, etc.  And as so often, I managed to cover the cost of my chippy tea tonight, which is good enough.  So have a few pics from the turnout.

    Starting with my shop, obviously!

Eccentric Richard did nowt but quote his dad's expertise* and profess how he knew everything about everything but with no actual knowledge.  Everything was a "fact".He was literally Sierraman but 16.

Dez has quite a lot of knowledge, and can provide references or support the knowledge with sources / give an idea of reliability, it's just that most of it is not considered that interesting outside a /very tight circle/.

    To do list.
    Sort an oil leak
    Polish headlights
    MOT at some point

    Maybe.
    Change cd player for dab?
    Tidy front wings a bit.
Rear number plate bulb not working near side, (bulb is fine)
    Possibly adjust driver front window.
Maybe sort arse warmers in front.
    Replace arm rest
Replace window frame strip at outer top.

    Definitely not.
    Any bodywork.

Other things I've done, removed black electrical tape from eml on clock, no codes or fault, it now comes on and off like it should.
Put a new key fob button pad.
Sorted a fog light bulb on the right side (car told me it was left side)
And that's it. Then I'll park it next to my colleagues Audi's that they pay £600 a month for😄. Drives quite nicely, bit boring but fairly comfy.
Looking forward to the next four months then it maybe for sale with a link to this thread.

I decide as it was only temporary not to go mad with it but then I went on eBay.
The glovebox latch was locked shut (tadts) £30 and 15 minutes sorted my urgent gloves storing issue.
A climate control module was replaced due to a couple of slightly busted buttons £35
I regassed the Aircon m9's, which for the first time in existence of those words actually appeared to work. DIY job with a can I already had. Let's hope it retains it 🤞
Now a "normal person" would probably stop there but the wheels...the wheels man. I couldn't handle it so replacements were sought and it needed* Audi bolts.
