I think it's just people in general, I've done 30-40k a year for the last 20 years and it has got really bad over the last 5, I got to the point where I was going to end up killing someone in a huge accident because I'd had enough of cocks trying to push their way in or just pulling out on me and I was quite prepared to crash into them just to 'teach them a lesson'
I changed jobs and now drive a 20 mile round trip down a country lane with hardly any traffic and I'm much more relaxed and happier as a result.

Nice 2003 2.0 Mondeo Zetec for swappage?
That would work, is it on here?
-
I bought this in October for the missus as mentioned in this thread http://autoshite.com/topic/21991-new-floppytop-shite/?hl=floppytop
However she has stolen my Focus as she has lots of long motorway driving to do which was unforseen so I have been driving this around, I don't like it, I have to wear a hat in case anybody recognises me in it and I'm getting the piss taken out of me at work by my staff.
So does anybody want to swap it for a 'normal' car?
It stops starts and steers, it looks ok from 10 feet away and is very shiny but its covered in lots of parking dents and scratches, don't expect a nice tranquil cabin, it rattles crashes and bangs over bumps like any 15 year old french cabriolet, I can't hear any untoward noises from anything else.
Its got aftermarket alloys with tyres with plenty of tread, they are not in great condition though. also bonus red brake calipers for OMGEXTRA10BHP
The best bit is the electric hood, it works faultlessly, is in great condition with no rips or marks, I have treated it with that renovo stuff too, we have had torrential rain over the last week and the interior is dry apart from a little puddle in the door handle.
Everything works bar the a/c, the heater fan only blows on position 1 or MAX but its very good, it also has an aftermarket cd/mp3 player with aux input
Its mot'd till July 2016 and will have get you home tax
Will consider most cars petrol or diesel, I don't want anything that is going to cost £400 odd a year to tax, I'm in Kendal, Cumbria

here we go...........

Hope no. 51 doesn't come up as I don't need one car let alone two.... oh dear...
I'll buy your ticket....
I'm very excited now, more than I have ever been for a roffle, Autoshite has changed my life

I had the 125 bhp 1.8 non turbo gti, it looked smart, was a nice place to sit and I averaged almost 40mpg over 10k miles, it was dull to drive but I liked it.
Will be buying one in a frock (TT) next year for the missus..

I do indeed, its a fantastic building, I'm the site manager there ☺Do you work in the smart hotel in Bowness, not the Macdonald but the other one?

Payment sent and a happy wife, she wants the bloody thing if I win!
-
I wouldnt say they were fast, quick maybe and they are fairly light compared to a lot of stuff, modern turbo diesels will romp away from it on the motorway, they are nice cars and I'm going to win this one.Go on, randomise me one ticket please and make the winner if you would.
Are these fast? They look fast. I want fast for a change.

The aircon in PT cruisers is great and they are handy with the seats out, I bought one in JRG for the wife as we needed a car that day and it was the best one on the lot, twas alright I suppose, didn't keep it long though, swapped it for a Zafira.....
-
17 and 21 please
-
They do indeed I had mine showing 172 on the GPS once* in another country of course, they are properly quick.Love those ZZRs, don't they do 174mph standard or something?
*it was also a coincidence that it went on ebay the very same day as I may have passed a white car with cake markings going the other way, on an A road.
Bought a speed triple after that, I have no self control...
-
Best of luck to all the people who buy any car at any price from any dealer at any time.
I wont buy from a salesman.
<snip>
I won't buy from a car salesman, other types of salespeople are a necessary evil at times as only they are selling the things you need.

Well a raffle (why do they call it roffle btw?) Was always a possibility. However I needed to get this sold so I can sort out a few things with my finances, so holding a raffle was a last resort option. Fortunately for me Mr ChodWeaver came good with the money.
Anyone who didn't want the Vel Satis enough to pay just £500 for it would balk at the running costs in fairness, especially at 17 MPG around town!
Anybody who didn't have the means to pay £500 for it certainly would not have the means to run it.
If you can't afford to run an Audi A6, you can't afford to run a Vel Satis, a Peugeot 607 or a Citroen C6. And that's not being snobby, I have had it for about 2 months, and it has pretty well drained me!
I disagree with this, I have cars and bikes and spare money each month, I could have bought the car outright but I didn't need it, for £10 a ticket however I would have taken a punt and may have won it and had I done so I would have kept it in good fettle and would have been over the moon with it, Roffles are a good way of getting a car you might not necessarily need and this one was the fastest subscribed one ever and would have netted you a ton more than you were asking with no hassle, but you seemed to think otherwise, maybe I'm just bitter because I didn't win
Congrats on the purchase chodweaver, it looks great, I'll have no's 17 and 21 when the time comes

Bike sellers grrrrrrr, or more importantly one particular seller from a local Facebook group, apparently mint original no damage no faults means the bike has cracked fairings, the exhaust downpipes are knackered, the front tyre is goosed and the brake pads are down to the metal, my mate had driven 100 miles up to me then another 60 miles to view the bike in the worst weather we have seen all year, it was going to be his first big bike after passing his test, I very nearly gave the guy a slap, wanker.
Anyone selling a 600cc Fazer type bike near Chester?
-
I've had every bike I've owned absolutely flat out so 185mph+ on occasion, best car speed was a gps verified 162mph in a 1991 Nissan 200SX of all things,
see pic below, it was many years ago and the car wasn't standard
I don't go fast in cars these days but have been known to crack on on the bike when no-one is watching
-
NIce, had a turbo one of them many years ago, great cars.
Cheap, reliable, embarrassing car
